Many believe the notion that just because a person is underage, it automatically means that they are exempt from any charges against them in court. Simply stated, however, this notion is incorrect. Many would also believe that it is uncommon for those who are underage to even get charged for penalties, but depending on.

In simplest terms, bail refers to the practice of releasing a suspect from custody before the related hearing on payment of money to the court (which may be refunded if said suspect returns to court for trial). In the United States, bail practices vary by state. Chapter 969 of the Wisconsin State Legislature outlines.

Take a look at the caption of your summons or complaint. It reads, "State of Minnesota v. [insert your name here]." As you see, the American criminal justice system is adversarial in nature-the government versus you. This is inherently unfair. The government possesses and uses a variety of resources in furtherance of proving you guilty of a crime.
Mistakes happen during the pre-trial and trial process. The judge may make an erroneous ruling or the prosecutor may act improperly. You suffer the consequences of these mistakes. Luckily, there is a remedy to pursue. Anybody may appeal the outcome of his/her case to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

The consequences of having a conviction on your record can be devastating and everlasting. Almost all criminal convictions are accessible through a simple Google search. Potential and current employers have the ability to access your criminal record within seconds. Simply said, your criminal record may be enough to prevent you from securing a steady livelihood.

I hired Daniel Repka to represent my boyfriend who was incarcerated at the time. When I spoke with other lawyers they said the case looked bleak and offered little to no advice or help. Dan took on the case and immediately started working and didn’t stop. He answered any questions I had whenever I had them. He always stayed one step ahead and was prepared for every obstacle thrown our way. I truly believe no other lawyer could’ve beat this case, especially as quickly and as diligently as Dan did. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. We put our trust in him and would do it again.

I worked with Daniel Repka aka “Captain Justice” on a few cases I had unexpectedly picked up back to back in 2020, and I can't recommend him enough. He was incredible to work with, really thorough and efficient. He got me the best deals and even dismissals on a few of the charges, and helped me navigate the bureaucracy surrounding the cases. He stuck with me long after he needed to when follow up issues would arise. Repka was always quick to respond when I needed his help, and he made sure I was receiving the correct information. I hope I won't need a defense attorney in the future, but if

If we had more Dan Repka’s, the world would be a better, kinder place. This upbeat lawyer shows not only professionalism and knowledge but true caring. He knows the law, the ins and outs of the system, and what matters to both sides. This allowing him to speak clearly, eloquently, and to the point so that all sides take interest. He stood by my partner for over 18 months and danced a dance that helped bring justice and what was best for the in depth situation at hand.

I came to Dan with a headache of a case, with very little hope that anyone could do anything to help me. Dan listened to me, what I wanted, and worked through tons of nonsense, to get me the most desirable outcome possible. He had my back both in the court room and outside of it as well. He goes the extra mile and put a personal touch into his work that you don’t see very often in any profession. If you need a lawyer, call Captain Justice. You would be hard pressed to find anyone better.

Dan is the only Lawyer I’ve worked with that made me feel like I was an actual human being. Every time I talk with him, I feel like I’m talking to someone that truly cares about my well-being. He helped me through tackling a DUI that everyone else would have given up on. He was able to negotiate it off of my record and stood up for the ways I was treated unfairly. He helped save the years of having to jump through hoops to be able to operate a motor vehicle. I owe Dan my career.
