Bull Dawg Athletic Training & Physical Therapy
We're a unique type of athletic training facility taking a client-focused approach to personalized training using proven training techniques. We make personal training affordable, simple, and something you look forward to doing! At Bull Dawg Athletic Training and Physical Therapy we work with you to treat the cause of your pain and not just the symptoms of your pain.

Work privately or in a small group with our Pilates certified instructor to improve core control, coordination, standing alignment, and balance. We are a full-service facility offering physical therapy, fitness training and more for the athlete and the non-athlete. CDC and State of Virginia are still requiring all health care facilities to continue to use mask.
Services
Bull Dawg Training was established in 2007 by Tammy and Kenny Robinson. The company has grown considerably and moved into its current location at 5001-A Lee Highway in 2010. Over the past decade, they have established a reputation for excellence and reliability in the health and wellness industry through Personal Training.
Physical therapy is a medical, hands-on-approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Physical therapists are medical experts in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and work closely with physicians. Our physical therapist evaluates your movement patterns; identify the cause of your pain and work to eliminate it.
We use a 'hands on' manual therapy approach aimed at identifying the source of pain and dysfunction. We emphasize quality of care for our patients. Each client receives one-on-one care that can take fifty to fifty-five minutes per session, this allows us to fully understand all aspects of the patient's abilities and limitations.
Neck pain and/or back pain are two of the most common referral sources for physical therapy. The source of neck and back pain can vary. Our physical therapists will perform an extensive evaluation to determine the cause and then implement the most effective treatment strategy to help mitigate the pain.
At Bull Dawg Athletic Training and Physical Therapy, no two clients are treated the same way. This may be the case even If you have the same condition. Physical Therapists have many treatment techniques in our tool box. Our therapist will not use every technique listed; rather your Physical Therapist will find the right combination of techniques that are specific to the individual client's condition.

I have been a Pilates student of Linda Wirtz for a long time. She and her training have made a big difference in my quality of life. At age 80, I am still able lead a very active life.
Recently, Tammy has been helping me recover my strength and mobility after I broke my leg. My passion is figure skating and both Tammy and Linda have tailored exercises to keep me stroking, gliding, bending, jumping and spinning!

Linda’s pilates work miracles. Whether you are interested in toning muscles, stretching, improving circulation, healing joints or even recovery from breast and hip surgery, pilates makes a difference and can help you improve. Linda is the perfect teacher whether you are a beginner or have taken her class for years as I have. She knows when to push or tell you to slow down. Linda attends pilates seminars across the US so that she is current with innovative approaches and techniques. Rebecca is another outstanding pilates instructor. Always attentive to how your body responds and handles

I have had several PT related issues for years and Tammy Robinson is hands-on the best PT I have ever been treated by. She has helped me to re-gain joint mobility and strength. Her team of massage therapists and her Pilates program (Linda) are top notch.

Bull Dawg is an amazing place. I've seen Aura for physical therapy for post birth back pain and overall weakness. She knew exactly how to help me using pilates as well as other PT to strengthen my core and pelvic floor and she ultimately solved my back pain issues. I feel great and am now taking her pilates reformer class which has also been extremely beneficial. I can't recommend Aura enough - she is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional and I'm so thankful to her for getting my back in shape to deal with all the craziness of motherhood with two children!

Bull Dawg is a one stop shop for all your fitness and therapy needs. From massage to physical therapy to pilates to personal training, I have tried it all and am a very satisfied client. The team at Bull Dawg is a big family and that shows in the interactions they have with each other and their clients. I started there with Tammy needing physical therapy on my knee which has been an ongoing issue. Tammy is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional who can help with all physical ailments (I know because she has treated me for shoulder, tennis elbow, tendonitis, etc. since that initial knee

Tammy has worked with me to recover from 3 surgeries and several tendon tears ankle sprains and the like. Different from big therapy groups, she is hands-on using physical manipulation to increase mobility and range of motion. I consider her the very, very best.

Other services from massage therapy to Pilates reformer classes share the highest standard of excellence. Terrific, friendly gem of a practice.

Can't recommend enough! I take Pilates with both Linda and Rebecca and feel so lucky to have found this studio. I started because I was looking for some relief of sciatica and had a general interest in strengthening my core; I stay because it delivered against both and then some. I 'feel' it when I go a week or more without it (due to life).

Tammy Robinson is an excellent physical therapist. Her focus is totally on her client, directly supervising exercises in the office as well as recommending proper exercises for the home. It is rare to have a physical therapist with me the whole session. Exceptionally skilled, she uses various modalities well, including dry needling. She also integrates useful strengthening exercises at the end to complete the session.

I've been a serious ultra-marathoner for 12 years and had accumulated a set of minor injuries and problems. I was getting progressively worse and continually running in pain. With 2 upcoming tough 100 mile races and a desire to stay in this sport for a long time, I knew I had to do something and starting seeing Tammy for Physical Therapy.
I have been so happy with the results, and seeing Tammy has been a game-changer. We have done a mix of therapeutic massage, dry needling, mobility, strength exercises, etc. Problems have gone away, and I feel better than I have in a very long time. I've been

Tammy Robinson at Bull Dawg Physical Therapy is excellent at her work. She knows her anatomy, muscles, tendons, ligaments, where they are, where they terminate, where they overlap and how they interact with each other.
I went to her with chronic hip bursitis after several doctors told me that no operation, cortisone shots or physical therapy would help. I did the cortisone which wasn’t helpful but the PT has been great.
There was marked improved with Tammy’s help, she used deep tissue massage and EMS to help relax the muscles and work out the knots in my legs. I went from walking with pain
