Our care team is comprised of experienced care managers and Certified Nursing Assistants & Home Care Aides.
Assistance with correspondence, phone calls, filing, emailing, Skype conversations and social media i.e. Transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands and other activities using the client's or caregiver's automobile. Cleaning, organizing, maintaining the home, including packing, unpacking and removal of clutter.
Personal care is a continuum of companionship, homemaking and support with the activities of daily living (ADLs). Often an elderly parent just needs a little companionship and help with shopping, transportation, meal preparation and exercise. When your loved one needs assistance while bathing, dressing, taking meds or exercising, our experienced caregivers gracefully adjust their support to meet those needs.

Over the past 4 years, my elderly parent has utilized services from Andelcare on numerous occasions for various reasons ranging from helping after major surgery to having someone help with everday needs when we were out of town. Over the years, Andelcare has always been accommodating of our requests and needs, and the service providers are caring and truly helpful.
I have personally seen and witnessed caretakers from other companies working with some of my parents neighbors, and I have to say we would only employ Andelcare caretakers!

One star reluctantly. I was told when I hired the aide that they could administer meds if provided a single dose. When the aide arrived and I instructed her on the time and doses, she said she could not administer them, which is one of the main reasons she was hired. The aide was also not able to move my husband on her own, which was the other main reason she was hired. Additionally, when I came to relieve her at the end of her eight hour shift, I found my husband in a urine soaked diaper.

Andelcare is an AMAZING service for seniors and their families.
My 89-year-old mother lives at a facility in Seattle with van transportation, but she wasn't comfortable using it or a taxi. But she loves to go out and do errands, and we kids weren't always available to transport her. My elderly (101!) year old mother began requiring at-home care last year. Eileen at Andelcare was extremely helpful and patient in setting up the care for a reluctant client. The care-givers were excellent. Most recently, when my mother had a small stroke the care-giver stayed with her at the emergency room for 4 additional hours while we drove to the hospital from our home in Oregon. I can't say enough about how good these people are.
