Founded in 1996, archi-treasures was formed by architects and members of community development organizations around Chicago, who recognized the need for communities to organize, build capacity and participate in the redevelopment of their neighborhoods. MAPLAB has been supporting and involved with archi-treasures in various ways since 1996.
Our residential design and renovation projects range from consulting on color to rehabbing single rooms like the kitchen-all the way to the redesign of an entire home. Many of our projects are single rooms or designated areas in a home-a kitchen with adjacent family room, a master bedroom and bath suite, or an unfinished basement.
At first, this may seem like an extensive process for the project you have in mind. But, it is a systematized method that allows you to participate. You will understand the development of your entire project. This methodology is tried and true: it allows you to use your time and budget wisely-giving you final design results you feel great about.
Whether you are interested in rehabbing your entire kitchen or simply need a mantel for your fireplace, we specialize in designing and fabricating custom casework and furniture for your home. We work closely with local custom millwork shops to translate your specific need into a finished and completed result.
