Have been seeing Dr Martin for almost 15 years and he is hands-down the best optometrist in town. Office staff is helpful, friendly and Dr Martin is upfront, honest and clear with you. He helps you understand any questions you have and you are in and out without much waiting at all. I can speak to excellent experiences trying out and purchasing contacts as well as lasik pre and post care. Definitely recommend!

I've been seeing Dr. Martin for at least 25 years and I hope he will always be there for my eye exams. I don't understand some of the negative reviews below because they are not my experience. I have purchased single vision as well as progressive bifocals, clear and transition lenses, single vision and bifocal contact lenses and currently wear a single contact lens for mono vision to avoid needing reading glasses. I feel that the eye exams are always very thorough and I come away feeling that I see better each visit. He is very good about discussing the pros and cons of more expensive

Have been seeing Dr Martin for 15 years. I had a complex and rare eye condition diagnosed in Chicago and have had all my care with him after relocating. Eyes are good, his approach is careful and common sense re prescription changes (no change in 3 years). All this while listening to my symptoms in the context of what is important to my vision goals. Staying with him even tho I live far away now.

After being referred to this clinic by a friend I could not be more disappointed in the service I received. The male technician that works at the desk has been rude to me with each and every encounter I have had. The female technician who performed my screenings prior to being examined by the doctor did not seem confident in a single task she performed and remained silent during our encounter. Without hearing my optical history it was as though the doctor decided I do not have a vision problem (I have worn glasses for 20 years). He blew through the exam and seemed to be frustrated if and when I

I can't say enough good things about this clinic! The staff and Dr Martin himself are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Martin is very personable and has an uncanny way of putting me at ease when I am admittedly uncomfortable being near my own eyes! The front desk makes setting up appointments and dealing with insurance a breeze. Highly recommended!

This was my first visit with Martin Eye Care. The office was easy to locate and convenient. The staff was warm and welcoming and the office atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Martin was efficient and pleasant to work with. He was also upfront, open and educational about the results of the exam and had specific recommendations for maintaining good vision. I would definitely recommend Martin Eye Care to others seeking eye care and optical products. They also were qualified network providers for my vision insurance coverage.

I have been going to Martin Eye Care for over 4 years now and have always had great customer service and care in a professional setting. Dr Martin is very knowledgeable and takes the time needed to answer all of your question. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable and takes the time required to assist you. I would highly recommend Martin Eye Care

The depth of Dr. Martin's knowledge is huge. (It's a little unfair for us to write this because we know his background . . . that he's an eminently qualified doctor.) He's both accurate and precise. Very responsive to customer needs. Dr Martin has one of the most experienced technicians in the business on his staff. And we enjoy his front desk too. They're very accommodating. They took care of our emergency immediately. And that was without an appointment.

Dr Martin and his staff are amazing. I have seen him a few times now and am always impressed with his knowledge, concern, and desire to know his patients. I have had a "stink eye" as he calls it, since childhood. Dr. Martin carefully keeps track of that with each visit and has assured me many times that "all is well."
He will not try to sell you anything that is not needed, telling me this last visit that with my minimal change in vision I could "spend a ton of money and get about a nickel's worth of improvement.
His staff has been very helpful with my wife and

A reviewer below mentioned this practice charing a la carte and I completely agree. I went in for a routine yearly eye exam (covered 100% by my insurance) and was later sent a $20 bill. When I called to inquire about the charge, the man who answered was extremely rude and condecending.
Finally, with the help from my insurance (go figure), I found that I was charged for asking a smiple question about my eyes being itchy. Apparently, the doctor telling me they are itchy due to allergies is a "medical diagnoses" resulting in a $20 co-pay charge. The original charge was over $200, but

He should go into the business of teaching other Doctors great customer service. He was honest, friendly, knowledgable, personable. Did I mention honest??? He did not try selling me anything. Gave my 9 year old an eye exam. Pediatrician said my son had 20/35 vision from a basic pediatrician eye exam at a well check up recently. Dr. Martin's eye exam said it was 20/15 and no need to get glasses.

The doctor was great, the exam was pretty good, but the facilities were a little lacking.
Positive: Dr. Martin was very friendly, and really enthusiastically explained details of what he was doing, and differences from my previous optometrist's approach. (I'd been going to the previous guy for 20 years, so I'm pretty used to one thing!) The price was great, one of the best around at ~$130 without vision insurance. Although he does sell glasses, there was no pressure in that, and he was totally honest that I was fine to continue with my old prescription. I also appreciated that he

My favorite eye doctor ever. He does glasses (of course), contacts (including monoculars for those of us who don't want to deal with reading glasses), and very diligent eye health checks. And he's a pleasant person to spend an hour with. I also appreciated how he explained the situation without talking down to me.
