Services
Our name was inspired by a combination of the words "Artisan" and "Zen", marrying the artistry of hair design to a philosophical approach to our craft. Artizen Salon indulges guests with a salon experience by offering unmatched customer service in a relaxing and pristine environment. We focus on hair aesthetically, organically, and artistically.
Our stylists participate in education classes both in salon and around the country, to become some of the best designers the industry has to offer. We love to create looks that work in harmony with each individual's unique lifestyle. Balayage, corrective color, color melt, and color extensions are just a few things that our stylists are experts in.
Russell grew up in Southwest Louisiana and graduated from Demmons School of Beauty in 1996, and moved to Baton Rouge in 1998. With over 20 years of experience in the hair industry, Russell has truly honed his skills as a master stylist. He has worked on television sets, editorial photo shoots, fashion and runway shows and countless bridal events.
Our stylists' prices vary based on education and experience and are reflective of the length of hair. Prior to receiving any service, your stylist will have a consultation with you to understand your needs and to ensure you receive the best service and quality. In the event that you are not satisfied with your service, we will gladly offer you a redo appointment.

Russell is amazing with color!! I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere, and I would never tell anyone else, "You choose," when asked what I want to do for highlights. The atmosphere is laid-back with good music playing, and the products they use and sell are fantastic. You definitely won't be disappointed!
