A generous portion of edamame wok seared with crispy garlic and our house scratch made chili oil. Chicken, shrimp, baby corn, broccoli, Napa cabbage, carrots, organic local River Valley Ranch mushrooms, Shiitake mushrooms, snow peapods and sliced spring onions in a clear savory broth. This is a hidden gem for a good “eat in” or “carry out” Chinese restaurant! Very delicious food for a very reasonable price! I say hidden because from the outside you’d never know it was a cute little restaurant inside. They have great lunch specials too! Convenient to get to if you know the Woodstock square area and nice free parking right across the street.

Food is SO GOOD. it was so busy last night, I ordered a few dinners for pick up. Phone girl assisted me the best she could as I try to find something new, but unfortunately there was a mix up. Food was still DELICIOUS but I've been trying to get some thiKK noodles. Dean helped me out and recommended what I was looking for, Such a cool staff. Been eating their food since 2015

Thank you for our meal last night. You helped make our Christmas Eve wonderful. We placed a large order and it was ready right on time. Had my first experience with Chop Suey Hut early November 2021. I Love this cozy little restaurant. The entire staff was so generous and helpful and aware, even enjoyed entertaining my very chatty kiddos!
The food was all SO expertly prepared and delicious. I went here for my birthday and had my fill (even got a surprise birthday serenade and some delectable chocolate lava cake).
I am excited to go back!

My go-to dishes are the pork chop suey and the shrimp in lobster sauce. I've lived in Chicago for many years, so finding a restaurant out this way can be a bit of a challenge. Chop Suey Hut serves up some delicious food, but some dishes are slightly different from what I am used to.
As I said, the pork chop suey and the shrimp in lobster sauce are perfect. Well, they are made the way that I grew up eating at Chinese restaurants in Libertyville and Waukegan. So I took a leap of faith from a friend and WOW! From the cleanliness, kind gentleman (Dean) at the counter, the fantastic waitresses (Natalie)and the amazing food. This place hits on all levels. I cannot say enough how wonderful this entire evening was. If your looking for excellence in every category this is the place.

Decided to try and place an order online for a Saturday night dinner for the family. Placed the order and was surprised it would be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived to the curbside pickup and was texted 5 minutes early that my order was ready. Someone from the inside came out and delivered the order right into my passenger side window which was nice.
Got my order home and it was perfect, everything was super hot and the order was totally accurate. I have ordered from various Chinese take out places but Chop Suey Hut is definitely our number one go to spot for sure!

We've lived in Woodstock for 15 years and have eaten chop suey hut more in the last year than we have in all previous years combined . Their take out menu and website is great . You can also order alcoholic drinks to go and they are yummy ! They just reopened for dine in and they remodeled the inside! It's a huge improvement. It's clean and service is nice . Large menu and drink selection!
Egg rolls are delicious! I wish they had a bar you could sit at but it's a small place so they really don't have the room . Street and lot parking available! Can't wait to go

Would have put ZERO stars if it was an option. This place was disgusting. Do NOT order egg rolls. They are peanut butter with paste! Seriously.....peanut butter? I could not find any veggies or substance other than the peanut butter paste. Disgusting. I threw them outside for the animals to eat. Hot and sour soup was gross. Hunks of fatty meat and little taste. Veggie egg foo young was awful. Gravy was dark and icky. Hunks of tiny corns and other veggies that are not normally found in this. What a huge disappointment after reading positive reviews. I would NEVER stop here again. Overpriced and

Hands down best egg rolls I've ever had! While I'm not local to Woodstock, we always make a stop on the way up to Lake Geneva or plan a day to visit the Square to pick up some take out and it never disappoints. The sweet and sour sauce is amazing and the portions are always huge and enough for multiple meals.

Kids love the large selection of food and none of us at the table are ever dissappointed. Portions are so large that we always seem to be taking home some leftovers, but no one certainly minds. We enjoy celebrating our birthdays there to treat ourselves with food we typically don't cook at home. Try to get some take out during this trying time; because they certainly can use as much business as we can give them.

I mean...what to say? We wanted to try something different! We have lived in the area just over a year, but hadn't tried CSH. Recently, the owner & I have been discussing a way for them to get involved with a huge charitable giving opportunity in Woodstock: Christmas Clearing House. So, when asked the terrifying question, "What should we do for dinner?" I quickly said, "Let's try Chop Suey Hut!" Am I ever glad we did! Curbside pickup is the way to go! Always kind, safe, and attentive service. Their new menu is delicious and has more options for veggie eaters. The food tastes fresh and has great flavor. I've always had a good experience at Chop Suey Hut and even now with covid-19 causing all sorts of problems in the restaurant industry Chop Suey Hut and their staff have continued to deliver the stellar service they always have.
They publicly posted about the extensive measures they were taking to keep staff, customers, and the food prep areas safe. There cleaning regimen went above and beyond what the state recommended which is incredibly reassuring. I just know that a business willing to spend more than required on cleanliness isn't going to cut corners elsewhere.

I really don't usually enjoy oriental food but my family was in the mood for a place they like called the Chop Suey Hut. I didn't like it before so I ordered something different and it was a successful evening. It was totally worth it to give them a $25.00 tip. The gentleman took a look at the ticket and protested my humanity/empathy for the restaurant owners and workers who have had their livelihood stripped from them and their families.

We've spent many an evening or afternoon eating food from the Hut. Dine in or carry out, you're in business.
