Services
Ostling Jewelry Design is, in its entirety, the creative work of Margaret Ostling. Margaret has been handcrafting fine jewelry since 1980 and during this time, she has established herself among the most creative and original jewelry designers in the US today, having been awarded numerous National and international Design Awards.
I have always been involved in art and had anticipated a career as a painter, but an elective metalsmithing class, taken while studying architectural design in Southern Illinois in the 1970s, was the spark that ignited my career in Jewelry Arts field. I very quickly became fascinated with the techniques used to form metal, a seemingly very hard immutable substance, into sculptural and even intricate shapes.
I'm not sure that what I have done in my past life matters so much, in relation to the commitment I have made now. Life sometimes brings you to places you never thought you would go. Amazingly, I found that my journey of work and life took me somewhere I never would or could have imagined. I was hired to do reproduction wax model work for Margaret in 2002.
Because we make all of our jewelry by hand, it is impossible for us to keep all of our jewelry designs in stock. However, many of our most popular pendant and earring designs, and some of our ring designs, are available to purchase on our website in 14k gold and in sterling silver. For most purchases, we invite you to email or call us for personalized service in making your jewelry selection.

When looking for a unique, meaningful, and high quality gift I found Ostling Jewelry Design. I ordered a flower pendent and necklace for my girlfriend. I was amazed by not only how fast the necklace was made but by how high quality it was when it arrived. My girlfriend was shocked and amazed. The necklace and the flower in general have become our special symbol for love. I would absolutely go back to this jewelry designer again!!!!
