The Law Office Of Laurie D. Mitchell
The person you see in television ads for other firms will most likely not be the lawyer who will be handling your case unless it has substantial value. I personally handle each case from the standpoint of liability to complex medical issues stemming from the accident. If you want a personal, compassionate approach give our office a call.

The Law Office of Laurie Mitchell has been protecting the rights of Gainesville residents since 1987. Laurie is both a registered Nurse and Attorney, which gives her clients an advantage with her Extensive Medical Knowledge. Attorney Laurie Mitchell will engage closely with you to understand what you are going through medically and emotionally.
Services
Laurie D. Mitchell graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida, where she was selected to become a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, Laurie worked in ICU/CCU, ER, Pediatrics, Med/Surg, and Geriatrics.
In an instant, a serious auto accident can change your life in many ways - for months, years or a lifetime to come. After surviving the initial shock of your own or a loved one's crash and dealing with immediate medical needs, you must start thinking about your overall personal and financial recovery.
Many of the most devastating north-central Florida auto accidents occur on Gainesville and Ocala area highways. Such accidents are caused by a vast range of factors: speeding, recklessness, drivers on cell phones, texting, drunk driving, dangerous road conditions, and the exhaustion of truckers who have been driving for too many hours, for example.
Your first concern after any car accident must be getting medical attention for yourself and anyone else who may need it. In the aftermath of any serious injury-causing crash, experienced registered nurse and attorney Laurie Mitchell is prepared to evaluate all aspects of your condition and treatment in order to fight for maximum compensation on your behalf.
After a car accident, you may be seriously injured or grieving, wondering how you will pay bills and support your family if you cannot work, and feeling seriously concerned about many other aspects of life in the aftermath. Will insurance cover all this? Will you need to file a lawsuit? What are all the steps you need to deal with medical bills and property damage?
