Meg Kane Physical Therapy
Welcome to Meg Kane Physical Therapy and Counseling, where you will be treated with expertise and compassion. I am a privately owned practice with a mission to provide high quality therapy. I specialize in Hellerwork and movement reeducation, as well as stress reduction. When desired, I also combine working with the mind as an adjunct to support the physical work I do with the body.

I am a mental health counselor as well, and work with anxiety, trauma, attachment issues and chronic pain. Many of my clients come to me with pain that has been present for years. Working with myofasical releasing, posture, corrective movement and exercise can help alleviate the cause of persistent as well as more acute pain.
Services
At Meg Kane Physical Therapy, we are dedicated to helping you live a pain-free life and be as active as you wish. In the years since we began providing our services, many people have passed through our doors well on the way to a full recovery. Whether you suffer from a chronic condition or injury, or are recovering from surgery, our skilled therapists will work with you to lessen pain and speed healing and strengthening.
Meg Kane is a Physical Therapist and Certified Hellerwork practitioner and been in private practice since 1992. She has studied extensively with Carrie Hall in the movement systems approach. Kellie Cheever is a Physical Therapy Assistance (PTA), and Certified Structural Integration (SIS) practitioner.
Meg's primary expertise involves the diagnosis and treatment of movement impairment syndromes, injury prevention, and the promotion of health, wellness, and fitness. By teaching awareness of body habits and movement patterns in everyday life and making subtle changes while standing, sitting, reaching, walking or other activities, I support you in creating ways of eliminating discomfort and enhancing your sense of physical well being.
Pain is felt in the brain. When we are stressed, nerves that carry the signal of pain become more easily facilitated; the brain picks up pain signals more easily and you experience more pain. By becoming more aware of how we guard against pain, how our bodies react to stress, and how we shut down our breathing and movement, we can learn to decrease or eliminate pain.

Report
Meg Kane is a superb physiotherapist & also she is very nice as a person.

I went to her for my knee, neck & back aches. They are all better & I need to do the exercises mentioned by her. Her exercises touch you at the core points where you have pain. Thats what I liked the best there.

She is very soft spoken too.

I highly recommend her.
