Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Wendy Thomas and Dr. Seth Hartter, who is a licensed, experienced Mediapolis veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Welcome to our veterinary clinic! We love serving southeast Iowa and genuinely care about the care of your pets and production animals. The Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic has been in business since 1953 and is currently owned by Dr. Wendy Thomas. We have two full-time veterinarians providing services to both pets and production animals.
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open as long as we have a room to utilize (we only have two examination rooms so this is not always possible).

Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. 1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks, and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.

Great local vet in southeast Iowa and Mediapolis. Reasonable pricing, and they care! They take care of my dog and provide good care. Staff is very friendly and always smiling and helpful. They even performed emergency surgery on an evening to my coworkers dog who ate underwear!! We are lucky to have a vet clinic so close to home. Thanks.
