Helios Psychiatry is a Game changer as far as there incredible Staff, especially Greg Napolitano, PA-C, MSW...Since I've been there, sorry Since my referral to this clinic which was coming up on a year now I have been treated and medically treated with the utmost, unconditional and professional respect I have ever known. Their patronage is truly effective and without bias opinions of who, what, where your life was like before. If I was to compare Helios Psychiatry and these other private practice Psychiatry; Helios Psychiatry is the only therapy that I have actually seen altruistic and true miracles

Worst doctors office possible. Front desk staff is ridiculous and they have no sense of patient care. Also very insensitive. Troy location is for sure a no go. You'd think being a psychologist office they would have a little more compassion and understanding with the mental issues their patients have.

I wanted to give them zero stars. The Nurse Practitioner has cancelled two or three appointments with only 3-4 hours notice, both appointments I was nearly out of medication. I was a new patient then and should've found someone else more professional. I called on a Friday to get an appointment the following week for a prescription refill. No one ever called me back. I called Wednesday the following week and I was told I couldn't be seen until the following Monday which would put me almost 5 days without medication and basically the secretary was like your SOL. So unethical, borderline

Very disappointed.. I confirmed appointment set with Doctor. When I arrived my appointment was with a practitioner. Was then told doctor was not taking any new patients. Never explained to me the procedure of prescription called into the pharmacy. I received a email stating prescription was called into Pharmacy I called Pharmacy nothing was called in apparently there was a reply back to website 2 proceed with prescription. Never mentioned. Nor mentioned to stop current meds for new scripts or add new. Called office on a Friday, when notified of scripts. Office not open on Friday's. The reception

I was referred to Dr. Patel by a close friend who knew my story and how badly I was suffering and struggling through life. Over 2 decades, I sought help from many doctors, therapists, and counselors. Despite these efforts it seemed like no one could help me. I was misdiagnosed and prescribed meds that were ineffective, or even made matters worse. I was losing hope that I would ever recover or be reasonably happy. Discouraged, I came to accept that I was helpless, and that caused me to become even more hopeless and depressed.
Based on these poor experiences, I reluctantly scheduled a meeting

Be very aware that Dr. Patel does NOT have an after hours emergency service before you decide to choose him as your Psychiatrist.
My son had a serious side effect to a new med Dr. Patel put him on and there was no way to get ahold of him. I give Helios Psychiatry a 0 rating (I must choose 1 or I cannot post this review) for lack of concern for their patients in a crisis.
Think twice before you choose this practice.

It says a lot about a doctor when you're running 8 minutes late because of a snow storm, literally pulling down the street to be told you, "missed your appt and will have to reschedule because the dr left for the day." I was frustrated having to take an hour of work, battle the traffic in this weather and be cancelled because of 8 minutes?! "Well, the dr does run on time here." Does the Dr have a window and care for their patients, probably not. When speaking to the manager she wasn't much help either. The office is run to please themselves and skate out of work early
