The same service you've trusted for four generations is now available for your beloved pets. For nearly 100 years, the Jones family has been providing the families of Winchester, Stephens City and their surrounding areas with quality and affordable funeral services. Since opening our doors, our funeral homes have always been synonymous with trust, caring, and personal service.

We are proud to offer two locations to serve you. Both our locations, Winchester and Stephens City funeral homes, will be there to assist you from the first call until long after the service has ended. Our goal is to arrange a service that celebrates the legacy of your loved one and also provides your family with the closure you need.
Services
Darrin Jones is a great grandson of the founder of Jones Funeral Home. He represents the fourth generation of the Jones family to serve our community. Darrin is a licensed Funeral Director in Virginia and serves as our Vice President of Finance.

Prior to joining our staff, Darrin, who is a Certified Public Accountant, was the Financial Reporting Manager for Sterile Concepts, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia, and a Public Accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick in Washington, D.C.He is a graduate of John Handley High School, the University of Virginia, and of John Tyler Community College's Funeral Service Program.
We appreciate all feedback from the families we serve so that we can better understand how to improve our services. How would you rate your service with our funeral home? The staff here are so friendly and helpful. I contacted them to ask if they would help me separate ashes for me when I've never even used their services and they did it free of charge.
When it comes time to care for a deceased loved one, you may feel overwhelmed and confused about the next steps and options. Our Stephens City and Winchester funeral home staff members are here and ready to help. Whether you'd like a funeral or a more creative celebration of life, we can assist you to select the funeral service options that hold the most meaning for you and your family.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.
G. K. Chesterton wrote, Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die. The men and women who served in the armed forces, whether during a time of war, or one of peace, are living examples of that contradiction. Each should be honored and remembered, so that our gratitude never fades.

I would like to thank everyone at Jones Funeral Home, particularly Sonya, who looked after us so well. We came to Virginia from the UK to be with our son in his last weeks of life. We were unfamiliar with the way funerals are arranged here in the US but the team at Jones’ guided us through it all and made things as pain free as possible. Sonya was kind and thoughtful as well as professional. We could not have asked for more. I am more than happy to recommend this familybusiness to anyone needing their services.
