Services
The Delta King Hotel was opened on the Sacramento Riverfront in 1989, but the story of the vessel goes back almost 100 years to 1927. It is an important part of Northern California history. The Coyne family meticulously restored the vessel to its former glory to share with visitors and residents of Sacramento.
The Delta King's original staterooms have been completely remodeled to create a comfortable, yet original experience aboard the Delta King. With period touches throughout, our rooms feature stunning views of the Sacramento River, Tower Bridge and Old Sacramento, outdoor verandas to relax upon the riverboat, and top of the line amenities.

Was in downtown Sacramento a couple weeks ago and in the mood for a cocktail and food. I hadn't been on the Delta King for ever, probably late 80's. Why not check it out. Cruised into the Pilothouse bar for a beverage and the food menu. While sipping my poorly made Old Fashioned, and listening to the constant yapping of some large guy leaning on the bar but not drinking...I ordered the fish n chips. 30 minutes later, still listening to this guy's constant banter, my fish n chips arrived.

Have stayed twice now and I could not be any more impressed!
The price is fair and the location is completely convenient and fun! The rooms are clean and unique and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
So many things I love here! The bar is comfortable, great staff and drinks!
Free made to order breakfast in the morning is easy, convenient and delicious! Check in process can be a bit slow but is so friendly. They make you feel like a valued guest and part of the family! The valet parking is super easy and affordable! The river view is so wonderful. The boat is small and easy to navigate

We got a Delta King one night and dinner package. We requested for dinner time but didn't get confirmation on that. I had to call the day before if we have a reservation...I assume they didn't bother since it was Sunday night, pretty slow.
Food were cooked just right, especially salmon. They asked how salmon to be cooked. Of course, rare for us...it was a sashimi grade. Pistachio tapanade on top was a great choice! Very talented executive chef, Julian!!!
Will come back here even without one night stay.

If I could give this review a minus star or negative stars I would. This place was beyond awful and horrible. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and wanted some appetizers and drinks. The appetizer we ordered came with hair ia in it. Our drinks were warm and we sat for at least 20 to 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When I told the wait staff that our appetizer had a hair in it she did not even apologize. I told her we would take the calamari instead the calamari did come out pretty quickly however it was a half portion not a full portion. We were charged for everything

We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. Was very chill no one really there, staff was awesome and kind.
3 stars for the food and chef, very disappointed. I had the lemon chicken came with mashed potatoes, zucchini and squash. Chicken only tasted like lemon, no salt, pepper or any other seasonings very very very bland. Nothing special about the dish. Boyfriend had the rainbow trout over risotto- he liked the trout but risotto was under cooked and also no flavor. Kind of a bummer because they weren’t busy at all so not sure why food came out the way it did. Won’t be back!

Well this was our first time eating here. It was by fluke because the first two places we were going to had over a two hour wait. We decided to check this place out, and our wait was maybe 10 minutes. With that being said, here we go!
The Delta King is a big river boat. We had outside seating so the views were very nice. The chairs aren't the most comfortable, so that could use some improvement. Our server was very nice and attentive to us. We started with the calamari. It was average but good. The dipping sauce made it nice because it had a little bite to it. We ordered the American Wagyu burger

We were hungry and looking for a place to rest and cool off from the Valley Heat. We picked the perfect place - The Delta King, We were instantly cooled off with the very comforting temp inside while we waited until the Restaurant opened at 5pm. We enjoyed the views and eaves-dropping on an interesting couple next to us.
We ordered three yummy meals. I had the Cajun Linguine, V had the special of the day - Crab Sandwich, our friend enjoyed their Kobe Burger with steak fries, We also started with the fried calamari appetizer, another good choice.

What a wonderful experience!!! I've never been to Sacramento before and I enjoyed old sac. The boat was so cool and I'm not kidding when I say it was the best sleep I had. It was not rocking or anything like that when you think of a boat. The bathrooms were old but they worked just fine and the toliet had a pull string to flush- that was loud but oddly enough no ones toliet ever woke us up. I would stay here again and again! Did not have a great experience with our meal but the manager and our server were so so kind. All of the workers I encountered were the nicest. Will be giving them another try because of this. Really appreciate how understanding the manager was with the issues we had with our food. Great way to run a restaurant. If the food is up to par next time then I would definitely give this place 5 stars!

We arrived at the peak of lunch time on a Sunday without reservation. The host greeted us promptly and offered us "the best table" as he put it. It was indeed the best table with a great view of the Delta and in full sun. Luckily for us that we enjoyed soaking in the sun after feeling cold for days in the East Bay. My hubby surprised me with a night away. I am currently on crutches, and everyone here was awesome. They put us in a room on the lobby floor so I didn't have to deal with stairs. The room was very nice, it was clean, and still able to see the river from our room. Truly beautiful. The geese were fun too.
The food too was wonderful! We ordered simple items, a burger, fish and chips and Brussel sprouts (appetizer), but these simple items tasted as wonderful as if they came from a fancy SF restaurant.

We visited and booked the city view room for 1 night on March 27th,2021. Upon arrival the valet took our car and parked it, which was very convenient. While checking in, the process was a little slow and my credit card would not read in the system. It's been working all day perfectly fine before and after check in. No biggie, game a different card.

Honestly, I was confused. The meal started with a Mediterranean meatball, then a Cajun risotto. It was awkward to walk into. The dining room had 8 diners at 6:30pm. They stacked all customers on top of each other, even though there was plenty of seating. My risotto was bland and was all kind of one note. Could’ve really used some acid. The dessert was fine. I don’t understand putting a a whole leaf of mint as a garnish, it’s pointless. If you want mint in the dish then incorporate it. This should’ve been a great dining experience. Came here for NYE 2019 party and dinner. The entertainment consisted of live music in the bar. A DJ and casino n the main floor and of course the best view in town for Old Sacramento's Fire works display.
Our dinner was surprisingly good. My filet was delicious but my date did not care for her Striped Bass as all the seasoning was in the skin which she didn't want to eat. The flourless chocolate cake was so good I could have licked the plate LoL. Service was good although our server was not very personable. He did pause our four course meal while we watched the fireworks do kudos
