Two brothers founded Capitol City Pawn Shop Inc. in 1962. The original location was across the street from the present location at 1001 SE 6th street in Topeka, KS. Originally, the company was started as an offshoot of the rental business. They operated the rental store on one side of the building, and the pawnshop on the other side.

Yes my son went into the shop one of the worker tried to pick a fight talking that my son had hit his girlfriend and told him to leave being rude and wanting to fight him my son left that's the kind of service you get my son Never has hit a girl ,women or child that's called (defamation of character) will see you guys in Court thank you never ever will shop there again!!!

This family owned company that was once the best in Topeka. Has lost it’s integrity and ethics! Who wants to do business with a company that lies to your face then laughs behind your back. An employer who does not care about their employees! They will lie to your face admit they lied then tell you if you don’t like it you can quit. They do not… believe mental health is a real issue.
