At Children's Center of Damascus, we offer a variety of programs to meet the unique needs of every family. We are honored to partner with families in playing an integral role in nurturing and educating every child to become independent, caring children who develop a lifelong love for learning. Since 1985, the Children's Center of Damascus has served the childcare needs of families in Frederick and Montgomery Counties.

We recognize that every family has different needs, therefore, we offer unique flexible scheduling that allows parents to choose preschool and childcare programs for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old at competitive rates. My daughter has been going to children center at St. Anne's (branch on Ridge Rd) and it has been a truly gr8 experience.
Services
Children's Center of Damascus staff will strive to provide the highest quality childcare and educational service that promotes and enhances a child's development; while assuring our parent's peace of mind in the care and service we render. Children's Center of Damascus provides a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate program which fosters active learning, support for the whole child, and a child-friendly environment.
Our goal at the Children's Center is to provide a secure, loving, educational environment for all children. Every child is welcomed into our daycare center family as a unique individual while having universal needs for cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth and development. We are committed to guiding every child in our care in developing their full potential.
At Children's Center we follow The InvestiGator Club curriculum published by Robert-Leslie. The InvestiGator Club is an investigation-based early childhood curriculum that aligns with the requirements for an educationally approved curriculum by the Maryland State Department of Education.

This curriculum builds upon children's natural curiosity about the world through hands on STEAM activities, Language and Literacy, Social Emotional and Physical development. With the current events and uncertainty in today's world, we understand the importance of providing consistency for our youngest learners!
We select our staff for their warm, caring personalities and love of children, as well as for their experience and credentials. Our teachers are highly trained in handling emergency situations and are certified in First Aid and CPR. Our teachers are dedicated individuals who make it their mission to go above and beyond the call of duty for the children they teach and care for.
Both of my children have attended Children's Center of Damascus since they were 2 years old (the oldest is now 5). They both LOVE this place. I have a hard time getting them to leave every day, they are having so much fun. The teachers are career teachers and are very nurturing and kind. They seem to care about each child's development and progress.

Our 5 year old twins have been attending Childrens Center since they were 2. We have been extremely pleased with the amazing teachers and staff. Since the new director has started, the communication to parents is 100% improved. In addition, she is extremely friendly and approachable.

We've been going to CCD for several years and have had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, Angela Lynch, the new director, has been recently hired as the director, and she is taking the school in a different direction. Very unprofessional, abrasive, negligent, and self serving. Will be looking for a new day care. You've been warned.

This center has sunk to a new low. Angela Lynch, the new director at the center, has created fake accounts to try and give a better overall rating to the center on Google. The IP address of the Google user tracks right back to thier main location. This is the type of care you will receive at Children's Center. Cover ups, deceit, and, self serving, and sloppiness.

Be careful about sending your kids here. They are quick to place labels on children. If your child plays with her food, they are on the spectrum. If you child has a favorite toy, they are on the spectrum. This used to be a great place to send your kids before they hired a new director. Not anymore.
The owner is nice and I believe cares for the children that attend, but the reality is that he isn't there to witness the issues that occur on a daily basis and the trauma she has caused families by diagnosing children with disorders.
Try other local daycares instead unless you want a label to follow

I have worked with Angela Lynch for a while . At the CCD and another center as well . She is one of the most fair and approachable Team leaders I have ever had . I am happy to see the direction she is taking the CCD and am very proud to be part of that process . This is a great place to work , the teachers here are very caring and giving. There is a lot of support in and out of the classroom .

I have been coming to the center since September. At first, we were little nervous but staff there is very nice but the new director there has taken the center to the new level. She's very approachable, caring and vibrant. I had a chance of interacting with her a couple of times and she's very composed and has it all together.

I currently work at the center and I love the positive changes being made . The new director makes me feel empowered and confident . She truly cares about the safety of the kids as well as the staff. I not only enjoy coming to work now but I feel more confident in my teaching abilities . I can’t wait to see what else Ms. Angela Lynch has in store for our center .

My daughter has been going to children center at st annes (branch on ridge rd) and it has been a truly gr8 experience. The teachers and staff has been awesome. she learnt so much and was always eager to go to school. The center is NOT like all other money making and fake displays /non interested child cares, it is more family like. The teachers try to keep kids involved throughout the day.
