Kareen Wilson is a cofounder, luminary, and dental hygienist at Contemporary General Dentistry. Her love for beautiful smiles and beautiful relationships has made her a regular board member on the Christian Dental Society, Bethesda Medical Mission, Inc., and the Crest Smile Council. Continuing her expertise in beautiful smiles, Kareen has been featured on the Dr. Oz Show, The Doctors Show, and numerous local media outlets.

Dr. Wilson is a 1996 graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, a prestigious private university in Southern California.

Having not had a cleaning in 2+ years I made an appointment to make sure I complied with HEP requirements AND to make sure I had not developed any cavities.
My prior dentist was a sole practitioner who did everything himself and to be honest his equipment was a bit antiquated - I dreaded going, knowing that my teeth would be scraped beyond belief.
However - that was definitely not case when I visited Dr. Wilson's office. From the time I walked in the door I transported to a calming environment. I don;t know one person who actually likes going to the dentist but they do a good job of making

I was in search of a Dental Hygienist for my son. Long and behold I found Contemporary General Dentistry. I browsed their reviews and website and felt content enough to trust them to do my son’s dental work. We arrived and my son was eager for the experience. The environment is tidy, comfy and nice. When I decided to look for a different dentist I was very skeptical about making a change. I finally decided to make an appointment with Dr. Wilson at Contemporary General Dentistry / Dr. Gullo at Smile Studio Dentistry and it has been the best decision I have ever made. Dr. Wilson makes you feel totally comfortable from the time you sit in his chair. You will get the best dentist of the highest caliber that really care about your well-being. The entire staff are extremely professional, friendly and very accommodating. I would highly recommend Contemporary General Dentistry.

This place is great! The customer service is top notch. Everyone is very friendly and takes the time to get to know you.
The service is also excellent. They send lots of reminders before your appointment, and I've never had any issues getting in in a timely manner. They are thorough and get everything done, and let you know what they're doing and why.
If I had to nitpick, appointments can take a while, but I think that's a function of the service quality, so I actually consider it a positive. There are also a few Coronavirus rules in effect currently, but I think they have to do them due to state

Dr. Wilson not only provides super high level dental care, but he’s gentle, kind, and makes you feel really comfortable with your treatment. I’m an anxious dental patient and I’ve had my best dental experiences under his care. I appreciate that he doesn’t rush to “fix” things and you never feel like your financially taken advantage of. I’d recommend Dr. Wilson and his team to anyone in the area looking for dental care. I’ve also seen probably all of his hygienists, and they’re all LOVELY to the point where I’m happy being booked with any of them for my cleanings.

Front desk ladies were nice but billing services I received at this location were initially incorrect but corrected when I settled my account. They did not automatically provide updated receipt - I had to request one. I also had to request dentist complete my physical paper claim form as I prefer to submit it to insurance on my own. The front desk stated the office policy was to submit claim forms electronically (which my insurance does not accept). My dental services were provided by Dr. Gullo who read and explained x-rays thoroughly. I hoped she would be able to provide "no-prep"

I know this sounds small but what I am finding is Dr. Wilson and Team really go the extra mile in everything they do. I have had numerous experiences with their office and always leave them feeling I am their one and only customer. The most recent example of this is I called their office prior to them even opening and was greeted to a very warm and sincere voicemail greeting. I left my message and immediately received a text message following up with my call, informing me when they would be in office, and the opportunity to communicate with them prior to their arrival via text message. In fact his entire staff are all top notch individuals. Jess and Emilia always make things go smoothly and get you in as quickly as possible, Erin, Kristina, Sandy and Megan work seamlessly with Dr. Wilson.
They fixed me up yet again today, Kristina and Dr. Wilson got me in and out, pain free today.

I thought I walked into a Hollywood dental office. The office alone was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Wilson really shows that he loves his work. He is so knowledgeable and shared that with me and answer questions I didn't even know I had. I love that he explained what he was looking at on my x-rays and when he did my exam. I've never had another dentist treat me holistically the way this office did. I only wish I had went here years ago.

I'm so glad I found Contemporary General Dentistry!!! My family and I have lived in West Hartford for 5 years. We were not satisfied with our previous dentist and did more research in our attempt to find a new dentist. We found Dr. Wilson's office, and I'm truly glad we did. He is professional, genuinely caring, friendly. He communicates well, encouraged me to ask questions, and made me feel really comfortable. His staff is also professional, friendly and caring. I wished I had found him earlier. This is my best dentist experience ever!

Dr. Wilson and the staff at Contemporary General Dentistry exceeded every expectation I had. From the friendly reception to the thorough examination and cleaning, everything was handled with care. I have never been as satisfied visiting the dentist than I have with Contemporary, and I’m looking forward to future visits.

This is a real honest review! I am almost 40 and have been a patient since I was 21! The level of care that I receive is truly exceptional -to the point that my 3 children who range is ages from 14 - 1 are patients! I would not trust anyone else with my oral care! Dr. Bryan Wilson, Karine (sorry for the spelling☺️) Erin and just the entire Staff are top notch professional and welcoming.
They started off with a very small staff and have grown so much! I am so proud to see their progression!

So happy to have found a thoughtful and friendly dentist, hygienist, and office team. Dr. Wilson is a compassionate, and caring. And his team has consistently been thorough and speedy with questions about scheduling, insurance, or anything else. Nothing is rushed, Dr. Wilson takes his time & is very thorough & professional. They take the time to answer any questions & are very attentive to how you, the patient are feeling at all steps of the process. (Dental phobia big time)
The office is very clean & bright. The only downside: Parking can sometimes be a pain in the butt but they are in a busy building - it can be a hit or a miss.

I don't even know where to begin.. To say I love this office and the staff is a huge understatement. I have been going to them for about three years now, and needed some big and serious work done. I had major anxiety and was embarrassed about the condition of my teeth when I started going to Dr. Wilson. But the staff was always so warm, friendly,… and welcoming. They worked with me to plan the work I needed done in phases to help with the cost and the overall anxiety of it! I am in the final phases my plan now - I am so happy! I never realized how much I smiled with my mouth closed before

Easily the best dental practice I have ever been to. They are thorough and take the time to explain to you what they are going to do and why. My last cleaning, with Megan, was the first one I have had in my life that was painless -- she took her time and did a great job, but was also very careful in her work. Highly recommended.

Everyone who works here is so friendly: the receptionists, the hygienists, and the dentists. The appt. started on time, and they were very friendly and patient with questions. They took the time to explain to my son how to properly brush his teeth, so he was very excited to try it out at home. The appt. rooms themselves are decorated nicely with calming nature pictures and even clouds on the lights. We will definitely be going back. The only minor con is that even though they take state insurance for kids, they unfortunately don't for adults.
