I opened my small family child care home in 1994 and have worked with many wonderful families through the years. In 2018 I began to transition more on the needs of infants, toddlers and younger preschoolers in my program and offer a teacher-friendly schedule. I continue to provide a small group setting that offers each child one-on-one attention in a developmentally appropriate environment.
This smaller group affords me the opportunity to work with each child on his/her level of development and also encourage a strong child/caregiver bond that will make each child feel safe and secure. I supply the time, materials and guidance for each child to succeed in their individual learning journey.

My name is Linda and I am a Registered family child care provider in Odenton, MD. I have worked with children for over 20 years and am Registered with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). I have always been committed to providing quality child care to all children in my care. With meaningful learning experiences in a nurturing and stimulating environment, children will feel safe and encouraged to learn through their play.
I have worked with children for many years and am a firm believer that play is the avenue to learning. My goal, as a licensed provider, is to offer a loving and nurturing environment where children can grow and learn through play. Amid the constant rush to achieve, I value the opportunity to offer a place that can make a difference in so many young lives.

Please respect lunch/rest/nap time from 12:15 pm to 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday with no phone calls, visits, drop-offs or pick-ups. Reminder: When your Child gets immunizations they are required to remain home the following day.
1. Telephone Interview - I receive telephone calls daily from parents looking for care. I am extremely busy during the daycare hours so if I do not answer, leave a message and I will return your call in the evening. During the telephone interview I will answer most questions. Parents are usually interested in hours, rates, openings, etc.
Every day in my home is child driven and productive, whether its a group activity or independent play, the focus is to help each child reach his/her full potential. Play is the focus in my program as it facilitates children learning and growing socially, emotionally, and developmentally. A typical day consists of child choice individual time, group time, meal time, rest time and outside time.

Linda is absolutely amazing. I recommend her every chance I get to anyone in the neighborhood. As a new mother I searched a lot of potential places but knew this place was right the second I met her. I wanted a person that I could trust my three month old baby too and I could tell right away Linda was that person. I could just feel it. From the beginning I loved her. She kept a log of everything my daughter did throughout the day. What she did, what she ate. I received pictures and they even made ornaments for Christmas... snow men with their picture on it. I called her and politely asked if she had placement for a 20 month old then i asked what her fee was for the care,and how many children were in her care? and bam she proceeds to yell who are you?? I dnt share information about my business. I was confused because im a first time parent and only asked the questions i thought i should be asking the person whom could possible have my child allday. I was not rude or aggressive in any manner but this lady showed her true colors...whats the harm in answering a prospective clients questions when dealing with children. To this day I have to say Linda's Family Child Care is the best in the area. I was sad when my daughter had to leave because she was starting school. Having my daughter in her care gave me peace of mind because I knew she was in great hands. I love when I get calls from future clients because I get to let them know what an incredible experience we had with Linda. They are still considered as Family to us. We were truly fortunate!

My 2 children have been in Linda's care since they were newborn. I cannot say enough good things about her. Her main focus is the children at all times. Not only is she caring, but her husband and son are just as caring with her daycare children. My boys are now in elementary school but we still visit with Linda. She will always be part of our extended family. I highly recommend her to any family.

Our children have been with Mrs. Linda for the past 5 years - she started with our oldest when he was 1 and has taken care of our youngest two since birth. All of our kids adore and love her! She is very communicative and you know what your children are learning/being engaged in every day. It's a fabulous place to send your child.

I have two boys that both went to Linda's Child Care from the time they were born until they no longer needed daycare. There was never a day in any of those years that either was there that I worried about them being in the best place possible. Linda's is a home, not a business and there was never a doubt in my mind that my kids were in the best place possible Linda provides a warm, loving, safe place for the kids in her care. She truly cares about all the kids in her care, it's not just a job to her. It was a wonderful feeling dropping my kids off knowing that they were safe, happy and well taken
