Providing quality healthcare to McLean County's medically underserved residents through the operation of a free clinic. Our mission is to provide efficient, high quality care through a free clinic model maximizing resources, volunteers, and community partners. We provide comprehensive medical and dental services and prescription medications to address each patient's needs, all at no cost.

Find out if you're eligible to become a CHCC patient. Even if you have insurance but no provider, we'll work with you to connect you with a primary care doctor. Since 1993, we've come together with local medical providers, businesses and religious organizations to help our community. We're constantly working to improve patient access, maximize resources and strengthen the quality of our services.
Services
In the early 1990's, local hospital leaders recognized a growing need to provide medical care for those falling through the cracks of the local healthcare delivery system. They noticed people repeatedly visiting their emergency departments for complications of chronic disease. These individuals had no insurance and couldn't afford doctor's visits or prescription medications.
To better serve our patients' medical needs, we now have a 24-hour nurse call line for urgent healthcare advice that cannot wait until the next morning. This service is for current clinic patients only. Call (309) 888-5531 and press "3" to speak to a nurse about an urgent medical concern outside regular clinic hours.
The Community Health Care Clinic has partnered with Fort Jesse Imaging Center & Gale Keeran Center for Women to provide screening mammograms to low-income and uninsured women in McLean County. Together we helped 32 women get their screening mammograms, and 3 women received follow-up diagnostic studies at Fort Jesse Imaging Center, providing a total of $11,532 worth of free services.
The Community Health Care Clinic now offers comprehensive adult dental services to existing Clinic patients. Thank you to everyone in the community who came together to make this years-long dream a reality. Local health needs assessments in recent years have identified the need for adult dental services as a major health concern for McLean County.
We love taking care of our patients and unfortunately cannot provide care to everyone in our community. Not be currently enrolled in an active insurance plan, including veteran's benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or Kid Care (consideration will be given to those who have insurance, but cannot afford to use it).

I was a patient and wife. We both got good quality care. Had a nurse there named Sue. Very nice person she was great. We believedin the Clinic so much we donated our time . We helped raise money with a bucket drive. I lost my wife in 2007 the clinic help get her into a cancer Doctor. My wife thought of the People at the clinic as family. Robin loved Sue and all the rest. She felt even after being found with cancer. That the clinic was great. Sue and the coordinater sent plant to her funeral. They also came. The communi6 would be lost without this clinic.
