Services
This position provides multi-functional duties related to service, assistance, support and supervision to home health care clients in-home and on site at assisted living, skilled nursing, hospital and hospice facilities. This position requires you to multi-task in a high stress, fast paced environment.
When you or a loved one begins to face the reality of memory loss, it can be incredibly difficult and challenging. Dementia can become very debilitating, and those who have dementia are often left very dependent on their loved ones and other care providers. Memory loss can quickly affect all aspects of life, and you need a care provider who understands your unique difficulties and is able to help in all activities and functions of daily life.

Care From The Heart's experienced caregivers came to provide 24- hour "end of life" care for my husband for nearly 10 days. Along with Hospice, I was able to have the quality time I needed to be with my husband without having to manage every single aspect of his personal and medical care. Since Hospice only comes a few times per week, I employed the services from Care From the Heart to cover the remainder of days and hours. I would not have been able to spend quality time with my husband if I had tried to do all those hours and days by myself. I give Care From the Heart 5 stars for their compassion

I would like to thank Gratitude Treats for helping make my Sister’s 50th birthday special. Because of the pandemic, we were not able to celebrate together and so I decided to send her a birthday surprise. I ordered the “Happy Hour” which was a variety of 6 cupcakes. The customer service of this establishment was excellent from the first interaction until the delivery was completed. When I called to place the order, the young man on the phone was very polite and informative. I received an email with my receipt, and a call when the delivery was in process. The caregivers were pretty good, but...This company is run by a nasty, manipulative and vindictive woman. Jackie was phony to my dad, when she came out to do the assessment—trying-transparently- to say all the right things.. My Dad, who was in the last year of his life, saw through her shenanigans. Later, when I visited her place of business, I watched her, berate and belittle the office staff. After a couple of weeks, we decided to get a different agency. Our family was lucky to find a more professional and far less dysfunctional, care agency, and our dad got great care thereafter.

Jackie was wonderful from the start to finish. When my mom was in the hospital, we knew that a lifestyle change was coming based on her medical situation and she would need more help than we could give her.
When Jackie came to the house to see if it was a good fit for our family, she got to work recommending the equipment that we needed and changes to the house to accommodate my mom and the workers. She was organized, kind and structured. On top of that she had the only agency that we could find that could provide round the clock care workers.

Care from the Heart was the worst provider of in home senior care services we had the displeasure to work with in the three plus years we cared for my mom.
The care providers who were sent were universally poorly trained. The replacement providers who were sent over when one of the care givers failed to show were useless. The office would always say "this is our most experienced provider" but they never were. Don't use Care from the Heart they provide o poor service.

My husband had a stroke in July and, after spending 5 weeks in Dominican Hospital came home to be cared for by the wonderful care providers from Care From The Heart. As a resident and native of Santa Cruz, CFTH is the only at home licensed company I will use for my loved ones. Unfortunately my family has needed services for family members with severe cognitive and physical limitations requiring 24 care, and other loved ones with basic geriatric needs. The care givers were so wonderful and concerned about my mother during the last two weeks of her life. These dedicated women stayed with my mother 24 hours a day, monitoring her pain and comfort and reassuring my mother's family that she was comfortable until the end of life came. We have relied on Care From the Heart for care for my 84 year old dad, with Parkinsons, for the our annual vacation week in Aptos for the past couple of years. They are professional, reliable, accommodating and capable. Because of CFTH, we are able to bring dad along for a family vacation and know he is well cared for while us youngins spend time at the beach.

The decision to move a loved one to hospice care is challenging. Jackie and her team of excellent caregivers made that decision much easier. We had been trying to handle the home care of my wife of 32 years diagnosed with mesothelioma, by myself and two children. Exhausted and frantic, we worked with Jackie and her team to provide overnight and day care for my wife after realizing we couldn't do it all. Found Care from the Heart on Yelp while searching for part-time in-home care for elderly relative who had fractured her spine from a fall. Jackie took time to understand our relative's needs and our family needs, and assigned the perfect caregiver. Thanks to her great advice and super care, our relative healed well, engaged in physical therapy and is back on her feet walking without assistance. We had a very good experience with Care from the Heart. They assisted Hospice in caring full time for our loved one. Their staff was generally competent and empathetic. We were fortunate to have excellent people caring in the final days of our loved one's life. She grew quite close to them and they helped greatly with what was a difficult time for all of us. They were like family to us and experienced the death deeply. There were some communication glitches, but we have no hesitation in recommending Care from the Heart.

We used Care From The Heart in home service to care for my elderly parents for several weeks after my father was recently hospitalized.
He wanted to be at home where he felt safe, but wasn't ambulatory.
