I was born and raised in Petaluma and the surrounding area. I have had the pleasure working in the dental field, helping people achieve healthy smiles for almost 30 years. Currently, I coordinate the front office activities at Dr. Szyperski's dental practice. My job includes treatment planning, scheduling, discussing treatment & financing options with patients and ensuring the highest degree of patients satisfaction.

I called North Bay Smiles with a complaint of a sharp pain in one of my teeth. Dr. Szyperski told me to come right in and she fit me in to have X-rays taken. Within an hour, I had answers to my pain and a plan/action to resolve that pain! I felt well cared for by the whole staff! Oh, did I forget to mention this was all accomplished the day before they closed for a week and a half for Thanksgiving? North Bay Smiles is at the top of my list of people to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving!

I wish I could give 100 stars. This place is by far the best and most caring place I’ve ever experienced. Margaret is an absolute ANGEL on earth, she is so patient and kind and very knowledgeable. I called her and started to sob on the phone as I was frustrated with a different dental office and she was so comforting and understanding. Dr. S is so personable and gentle I felt so at ease with her. I usually struggle with high anxiety with dentists and I’m 100% at ease walking into her office. Her MAs are amazing and make a real effort to know their patients. I could rave forever how much I recommend

I've only been here once so far for a routine cleaning, but I have a good feeling about this place. Due to the pandemic, they lost some of their staff, leaving Dr. Szyperski to fill in the gaps. I saw her wear many hats in my short visit -- x-ray tech, dental hygienist, receptionist, and of course, dentist. She handled the additional workload incredibly well and didn't rush through anything.

To those who have a bit of dental anxiety or had not so pleasant dental experiences, do yourself a favor and head over to North Bay Smiles!! Margaret is an absolute doll who totally makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The dental hygienists are sweethearts and Dr. Szyperski is amazing! She is efficient, thorough and gentle. I refuse to see any other dentist in the area, check her out and you will see why!

I visited NBS location with plenty of parking. My partner and I have been seeking a caring and professional dentist.
I found them.
They took care of me right away and went above and beyond compared to other over priced dentist I have visited in the past.
They will work with your budget and health plan but most of all take care of you. ✅✅✅

The first phone call I made to inquire about Dr. Szyperski, I was greeted by Margaret, and immediately knew I found the perfect Dentist and staff. She was so pleasant during our phone conversation, and made everything simple for my family and I. The day of my first visit, I was met with the warmest welcome by Margaret. You could not find more amazing, kind, or thorough staff. I used to have a terrible fear of the dentist for many years. Since I've been coming to North Bay Smiles I have never feared coming to the dentist. They always listen to and respect anything you need. They will go out of their way to make you happy and comfortable. And the receptionist, Margaret, is the most lovely person and vastly experienced in getting claims covered through your insurance. Every single staff member is personable, experienced, and efficient. Could not recommend this office more.

They were very accommodating to my work schedule and the urgency of my situation. Dr. Szyperski is nice enough but she can be a little offensive, although I don't think she means to be. She has that cold dentist/doctor way of speaking to you. Sometimes I feel like doctors don't stop to think what kind of background you might come from that might have brought you to be under your current situation/circumstance. This is a long overdue review of North Bay Smiles, because I've been a patient of Dr. Szyperski for over 5 years now. All I can say is, I lucked out when I needed to have a tooth looked at on a Saturday, right after moving to Sonoma. North Bay Smiles was the only office that was open. They also happened to be a top-notch dental practice, so I'd found my new dentist!
This was about the time my teeth started experiencing all sorts of issues -- crowns, fillings, chipped teeth (wear your night guard kids!), tooth implant. I've been *very* thankful that I chanced on Yvonne and her awesome

This was my first time coming to office everyone was super nice and welcoming! My husband and his family have been coming here for years. I am happy my husband told me to come to this dentist. I would definitely recommend this place. They were very informative what treatment I needed and very gentle during my cleaning.

Best dentist ever! I have been a patient here since I was 16 and chipped my tooth and needed an emergency appointment. They saw me as a new patient right away. Cut to...many years later, my husband broke his tooth, it was a Friday night. I left a message, and we got a call back about ten minutes later. They took great care of him, as a new patient, and they have been taking care of me this whole time. I love them, and love the warm and caring atmosphere each person who works there creates. ❤️

I would not recommend this practice. I went for a standard cleaning (100% covered twice a year by my insurance). Our initial visit went fine. The dental hygienist recommended a deep cleaning and I said to get my records from my previous dentist because I've had it done previously. I never heard back from them regarding it until my 2nd visit approx 6 months later (again for a standard cleaning). At that time she again recommended a deep cleaning and said will look into getting my previous records and see how much insurance will cover. Then I receive a bill in the mail a couple of wks later

This office is great! The staff is all very friendly, and always accommodating when I call ahead needing to schedule or change my appointment. They're quick and efficient when I'm there, and do a good job at the same time. I like that they advocate the services they think I need for my dental health but don't push them on me in a way that makes me feel like they're just out to secure the sale like some dental offices I've been to who bully you or make you feel guilty to get you to agree to services you can't afford at the time. They also offer a paraffin wax hand dip

Going to the dentist has always made me nervous and gave me anxiety because of prior experiences going as far back as when I was a young child. For the first time in a while I was finally satisfied with how I was treated at this dental practice.
Everyone on the staff here was courteous and Dr. Szyperski made sure my comfort was her number one priority and kept checking to make sure I wasn't in pain - especially during the times when I had to keep my mouth in an uncomfortable position for a long period of time while she did what she needed to do to fix my tooth. I hadn't been to the dentist in far too long, Margaret and my first hygienist Dina made me feel so comfortable and welcome that my only regret was not coming in sooner! On my second visit Karen and Dr. Szyperski were so understanding and really went above and beyond to make sure I was not experiencing any discomfort or anxiety. Both times they were incredibly efficient and I was amazed how quickly they completed the procedures. I really can't recommend Dr. Szyperski and the team at North Bay Smiles more emphatically; they really are a cut above any dentist I've been to.

I'm sorry but, going to the dentist is never Woohoo.
That being said, I was bummed when my dentist retired a few years ago and very grateful to my friend who recommended this office. Only positive things to say: professional, knowledgeable, up to date, friendly....they turn down the radio for me so I can relax...they make sure I am comfortable. No complaints.

A. Karen, the dental hygienist is super sweet and informed me of what was happening along the way.
B. The office was clean, and the dentist seemed competent
C. At the first visit the dentist asked what was important to me & seemed to want to try and get to know me

A. The front desk person who does billing is very nice but doesn't seem to know how to bill properly. My husband and I both went in for fillings. For some reason they wanted to charge me an extra $25 fee that they didn't charge my husband. They said the insurance company is the one who charges it
