Dr. Mona met her husband who is an Orthodontist in dental school and they got married shortly after that. She has become very attached to the beautiful nature and people of Sonoma county. Dr. Mona feels fortunate that she ended up in this special family dental practice with a long history of care for the community.
My husband Dan and I moved to Petaluma 30 years ago and have raised our son and daughter here and have enjoyed all Petaluma has had to offer our family. I enjoy spending time with our family, cooking, walking, hiking trails out at the coast and all around beautiful Lake Tahoe.
I also enjoy traveling and have visited many beautiful and fascinating places but the highlight was for our 25th wedding anniversary we did a trek in the Himalayan's in the Annapurna Region to Machhapuchhre base camp.Look forward to seeing you in our dental office or just around Petaluma! Kay was born in Boise, Idaho to a family of one older brother.

I have always had good experiences from here but today (Friday) afternoon. Prescriptions were ordered. I dropped it off and came back at the required time. Putin's out it had the wrong birthday on the script now I'm waiting and waiting with novacaine wearing off I'm also VERY tired my appt was at 11 it's now 230 I getting annoyed because I want to go home and rest. I'm editing my review because I was crabby when I wrote it. Dr. Mahmoudi is very good. She is gentle and the novacaine shots don't hurt. I hate going to the dentist always have. She is very good.

First impression was how clean and well designed this office is. Front office staff are kind and thoughtful.
Dr. Mahmoodi had already read my chart and didn't waste my appointment time asking me the same questions that were already answered in my files that were sent over from previous dentists/ortho/perio (isn't that refreshing!!).
Dr. Mahmoodi is warm and was gentle but she was also focused and intelligent. I was very impressed that (unlike all of the other dentists I've seen) she did NOT ask for a Yelp review so you know this review is authentic!

First of all, I have hypersensitive teeth. Due to that I don’t get cleanings done because it hurts. It had been 12 years since my last cleaning (I know, I know...). One can guess just how messed up my teeth were. We’re talking deep cleaning, crowns, and a filling. Not only is there pain for me but high anxiety that goes with this.
I will tell you… that this team (from the moment that I walk in to the moment that I walk home) is kind, professional, clean, caring, and comforting. They worked with my hypersensitivity and high anxiety.

So glad to have finally found a great dentist in my town! Thanks to Yelp reviews, I was able to meet Dr. Mona and her amazing team.
I have visited three times during COVID, once for an overdue cleaning and exam and a second/third time for a new crown. I felt completely safe and noticed the environment was impeccably clean and well sanitized. The staff were very conscientious, even limiting access to new arrivals until just when we were welcome back to the treatment area.
Dr. Mona and her team are extremely friendly and excellent communicators. The crown process went very smoothly and efficiently

I'm a huge fan of Dr. Mona and her awesome and talented staff. My silver fillings were from my childhood and over time with wear and tear, four of them failed and resulted in cracks in the molars.
The precautions taken during this Covid time were noted and appreciated, super sanitary rooms, bathroom and waiting area.
This practice also boasts state of the art equipment.
Dr. Mona and Maria were just outstanding, helping me to feel comfortable and reassured. The results are amazing and I can chew comfortable with a great bite. Thanks for taking such good care of me.

I've been seeing Dr.Mona for a few years even after she moved to the new location( which is a beautiful office!) She's a great dentist with a friendly and professional staff , they offer fantastic service and are very easygoing and helpful!

This office is amazing! The dental chairs can change to so much different positions for your comfort. In addition they have lumbar pillows etc. Never ever seen in a dental office! They have headphones with all kinds of music choices and the chair has massage settings too! I'm a massage therapist and really sensitive about chairs etc. I seriously felt like I'd been to a spa. Had two crowns done! They do great work and the whole staff couldn't be better

Very disappointed. I had to get a couple of fillings done and the attention to detail was lacking. I had to go back in a couple of days with a lot of pain. They did some half-hearted attempts to fix it but never really gave it the attention it needed. I can't believe that a simple case of filing got so complicated. I had to nurse the damage over the next few months and had to gently wait for the gums and the teeth to get normal again. I am finally ready to have it looked at by a different dental office. I am usually a very low maintenance person but was thoroughly surprised by the way this

Just an update, I had previously showed up for an emergency procedure while my dentist was unavailable, and that was how I first came to dr Mahmoodi. I was very pleased with the work, so at that time I felt compelled to share my experience.
So I changed dentists at that time eventhough she is not a preffered provider with my insurance. That doesn't matter at all, dr Mahmoodi takes the same payment as if she is a preffered provider. So check with the office no matter what insurance you have, they will work with you, and even if you have no insurance I'm sure they will work with you

I had my first appointment at Park Plaza Dental yesterday for an emergency tooth repair. In my 62 years, I have not encountered a dental practice with such positive, collaborative and caring energy. While in the dentist chair yesterday having work done, and listening to the background conversations and music, I was actually thinking that I was happy to be there (that just doesn't happen)! I’m extremely pleased with all that she has done. Her staff is very good. I do have a favorite, Maria, she has gone above and beyond helping me. This is the dental office that you need to experience.

In short, amazing quality dental care and service above and beyond expectations. Ten stars for sure. I had a dental emergency near the closing time of many dental clinics, unable to book a dentist for an assessment. I'm a Japanese citizen traveling through the area and was also worried because I heard dental is very expensive in the US, and wasn't sure if my insurance would cover it. To top it off I'm not even a patient at this clinic. I've been here several times in the last 5 months (poor Irish dental care means I need much work). Every visit has been 5 stars. The entire staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you consistently, particularly when you need a little flexibility settling bills or ask endless questions etc. This visit I had Dr Christensen, all previous visits were with Dr Mahmoodi. Both were excellent and patient, both have fit me in at short notice when they heard I was in pain. I seriously love this place! I never thought I'd say that about a dentist haha! I had an icky experience years ago, so I avoided the dentist for years....(big mistake teeth wise) but Dr. Mona and her beautiful staff always give me an amazing experience there.
