It embraces diversity - each teacher offers a unique style combining his or her personal experience and background which enables the instructor to teach from a place of authenticity. All teachers continue to learn and develop their practice bringing both current and innovative techniques to both the training program as well as to the individual student.
Our 300 RYT program is open to all students who wish to deepen their knowledge and practice of Yoga. Open Space Yoga creates an environment where all students are open to learn and grow regardless of their experience in yoga. These training are open to all levels, there are no prerequisites in entering these trainings, unless you are looking to become certified through Yoga Alliance (Please read Yoga Alliance 500RYT guidelines below).
This 36hr course will give you the techniques and practices to guide people though a Yoga Nidra Practice. It has already been recognized throughout the world that the practice of yoga makes the mind calm, tranquil and healthy. For an average person, it is often difficult to control the mind. For a Yogi, it is practicable to restrain the mind.
Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, defines stress as "that which interferes with natures' intelligence in our body". Yoga defines that nature's intelligence as "Prana" or life force. According to the ancient texts, there are 72,000 thousand "nadis" or pranic pathways in which that life force flows inside the human psychic body.
Ayurveda is not just a system that treats the physical body and its aliments; it also includes psychology and spirituality. Ayurveda considers our entire nature as body, mind, and spirit. This immersion is open to ALL students and hours can be applied to our 300/500 Teacher Training RYT certification.

I love this place. Makes me want to quit my career and become a yoga teacher, here. The owners are the most down to earth and sincerely good people, and the vibes are so positive, and fresh! There is not a thing I would change about this place, except open one on my island!

I went to this studio before COVID, and they were mediocre but close to my house and better than YouTube. Over a year later, they refuse to refund the passes that were bought in 2019. I reported them to the BBB, and they submitted a fraudulent "receipt" trying to prove I signed up for non-refundable passes. My name, card number, and date of sale were all wrong. They can't even put effort into cheating the system. WARNING! Avoid this completely unethical and below average studio before they rip you off too.

This is not your cookie-cutter type of yoga studio. There is a wide variety of classes and instructors to suit every need and skill level. You got your vinyasa flow but also other types that you might not be used to such as yoga nidra (which I LOVE), yin yoga (restorative), prenatal, ashtanga, kundalini, and more. The owner, Mary, really gives her instructors the freedom to teach what touches their hearts because you never know who will connect with that. There are a lot of expressions of yoga and this is your opportunity to try out different ones.

This studio has two rooms (non-heated). They

I enrolled in the teacher's training and I feel the woman who runs this studio should have been more ethical in terms of consumer rights. There's a lot of unsaid communication which I think should have been more transparent ( e.g., requesting a long written Q&A following the training, review of the training ( if wanted to do so), and possibility of more time beyond the contact hours, etc).

Following this experience I am more critical of who and how I wish to share my spiritual journey because she out stepped a lot of boundaries. In addition, $3,000.00 is a lot of money to have such

I like this yoga studio! I've been to this studio for four years now. There's so many different classes and my favorite is vinyasa and candle light yoga. When I want to relax myself , I do candlelight yoga at 7pm so I can have good night sleep.

A view of the sky. The breeze and open windows. After 2 years at Core Power I wanted to try something different. Open Space on Monsarrat near Diamond Head seemed the perfect, low key, neighborhood place. Highly recommended by a couple of yogi friends.....
Definitely a much more low key vibe. Less of a work out and more of a spiritual journey combined with relaxation and stress relief.
I tried to take every class I could--yoga nidra/guided meditation. We walked through fields of light together while lying in darkness. The guy lying next to me was blissfully sleeping, he was so relaxed. Great stress

Absolutely love the vibe here. It is my favorite yoga spot to center myself and be around people who share similar energy. Everyone is always friendly, teachers are extremely diverse and create in their practice. The variety of classes they offer are by far the most diverse in Hawaii (Yin, Kundalini, Nidra, Prenatal, Vinyasa, etc). I wish they offered more classes throughout the day especially in the evenings after work during the week.

I love this studio! The teachers are awesome. They have so much experience and knowledge. I can adjust my alignment just by listening to their instructions and guidance. I have found that at other places, it's like they are reading out of a book and not personalized like it is at Open Space. Their prices are very affordable and no contract required. I love introducing this studio to my friends as they have a great new students special of $39 for 2 weeks of unlimited yoga. You can try every teacher till you find the one style that you like best.

I love this little neighborhood yoga studio. They offer a wide variety of classes and teachers throughout the day and it's easy to reserve a spot using their online reservation system. The rooms have lots of windows and plenty of fresh air. The floors are clean and the studio provides all the props you need free of charge. If you forget your mat, they'll rent you one for $1.

I've been purchasing multi-class passes whenever they offer a sale and that usually holds me over for awhile since I try to go once a week or less. But for people who want 2 or more classes a week, then an unlimited

If you want experienced teachers and a good workout this is the place to go. I feel that nothing compares to my home studio but trying all the studios Honolulu has to offer open space has been my favorite. Cecelia is an amazing teacher. The room gets wonderful light and a nice breeze.

Specifically the Tuesday Thursday 7 am Ashtanga Yoga class with Gail St. Denis. I LOVE this class and my body has gotten so much stronger through this practice. The room is lovely and comfortable with a view of the golden morning sun in the treetops and the tippy top of Diamondhead visible through the windows. The class is small-ish so there's lots of great individual instruction from Gail, who is a long time Ashtanga teacher. She is extremely knowledgable, friendly and gives great instruction on improving your poses. My practice has deepened through practicing with her and I am super grateful

I took my first-ever yoga class at Open Space and loved it. Our instructor, James, was incredible. The class that James prepared seamlessly blended information on the philosophy of yoga with a combination of poses that were challenging but doable for a beginner.

Open Space feels very comfortable, like a house: shoes come off at the door, the space is very clean, they have a nice bathroom, many plants are present throughout the rooms, and they have an awesome water cooler which I needed because I forgot a water bottle.

This is a wonderful environment to learn yoga. Mats can be rented for $1

Located above the Happy Valley pizza by Monsarrat Ave. Parking is limited but there are street parking available if you come in the morning classes. Not sure about the afternoon.
They have two rooms for their yoga classes.
Nice, clean, and with "open space" touch due to the windows facing Monsarrat.
We were visiting for 10 days so I was looking for another yoga studio to try. I was lucky to have found this place where mostly locals go there and practice.
Their vinyasa Flow classes were challenging enough to my level and the meditation, chanting and relaxation part was really tuned in

This place has my heart for sure. I have practiced in many of their public group classes, with many of their teachers and am consistently blown away by their humble approach to these deep and transformative teachings. I did my 200hr teacher training here as well as many specific workshops and am now flying across the ocean multiple times to work toward my 500hr certification in this incredible space. The depth of knowledge, practice and compassion is breath taking. This space and the energy of the people who fill it have changed my life. Unparalleled.

OPEN SPACE YOGA @3106 MONSARRAT AVE:

Located above Happy Valley Pasta & Pizza.

This studio has the most variety of Yoga styles and teachers IMHO. Great studio for someone new to find out which style or which teacher you want to follow with your Kamaaina unlimited 30 days $40 deal. Then you can commit and follow what you like with regular price which is very reasonable compared to other studios. If you are not Kamaaina, there is a one week unlimited $50.00 deal.

I have been in and out of the studio for the past several years, took some workshops and different classes.

I got a welcome
