Services
Dr. Derek Wirth graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Microbiology in 2008. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston, MA, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 2013. Dr. Wirth returned to his home community of Oak Harbor, to join Whidbey Dental Associates.
I aim to treat each patient like family, in a warm and gentle environment. I enjoy spending time getting to know my patients and educating them on their dental condition and preventative care. Together we will develop a personalized plan that meets your individual needs. Dr. Hope is passionate about getting to know her patients and working to form an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
I feel inspired everyday working with so many wonderful people, being able to provide compassionate care that makes a positive difference in so many lives. I treat every patient as though they are my family, trying to understand and care for individual needs and concerns so we may develop a specialized care plan together.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in about two-three years and they really took great care of me making sure I was always comfortable and checking my pain tolerance during a cleaning, going to the dentist feels so much nicer now then when I was younger, they did a thorough exam and came up with a treatment plan and have all the up to date gadgets when it comes to taking your temp/ X-rays and pictures I’m very pleased and looking forward to my next visits.

I called early Monday morning for an emergency, and they got me in within a few hours. I have a very big fear of going to the dentist and getting work done, but the staff and Dr. Hope we're amazing the whole time. They were very kind, took lots of precautions with me being pregnant, and talked me through everything. Definitely will be recommending Whidbey Ave. to everyone! I appreciate them so much.

The dental work they did was excellent. However; their billing department dropped the ball. I was assured that they took my husbands insurance, but because they just looked at it and assumed he was military when he is not the charges were denied because they weren't in network with his ins. Now, they expect us to pay the 1,000 dollar bill because of their assumptions.

If you have a fear of going to the dentist, this is the place to go to. My fears are no longer with me. Dr. Derek did a phenomenal job with my tooth extraction today. He truly cares about the patients comfort & he’s very meticulous when explaining everything to me. The whole procedure was overall painless. Also the customer service here is amazing, everyone is so kind & respectful. I highly recommend coming to this dental office.
