The staff at Oak Harbor Pediatric Dentistry are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a doctor or dentist can be a stressful experience.
Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate dental professionals will ease your fears. Peter by his patients grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a young adult, his goals were to have a rewarding career in healthcare which involved under-served children. As a stepping stone, he completed his bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Immunology in 2008.

Services
Here at Oak Harbor Pediatric Dentistry, we are fully dedicated to ensuring your experience is unmatched - from initial visit, to checkups - we want you to look forward to your dental visits. We welcome you as a new patient, and we strive to be your primary dental practice - for your friends and family, also.
Oak Harbor Pediatric Dentistry used the latest in dental technology to ensure that your child's visit is as smooth as possible. This results in a smoother experience for both you and the child, and better results for the dental health of your child. Dental radiographs, commonly known as "x-rays" are vital to any dental visit.
We recommend all children to brush their teeth at least twice a day, after each major meal - breakfast (morning) and dinner (evening). As your child gets older, we recommend incorporating flossing for optimal dental health and good habits. It's important your child doesn't swallow toothpaste / fluoride.
After a tooth extraction, it's vital that blood clots / forms in order to prevent bleeding and initiate the healing proccess. Your dentist will recommend biting on the gauze / tissue pad for at least 30 - 45 minutes after the procedure. Persistent bleeding may require biting down on a tea bag - tea has natural ingredients that encourages blood clotting.
Injuries to the face, mouth and teeth are common among children. We are here to help you in the time of an emergency. Do not panic, stay calm and determine the extent of injury. If your child has a facial /head injury assess whether or not you child's injury caused loss consciousness even for a brief moment.

I just wanna say I appreciate this Dentistry,
I’ve been going to this place since I was child, and I’m so grateful I’ve met all these wonderful people from Dr.bob to Dr. Peter and the nurses, But in all fairness and Kindness, Dr. Peter kindly replace my crown recently after I’ve just broke mine unexpectedly and was willing to work with my issues rather than giving me a crazy unnecessary information and expenses $, please if you are reading this right now don’t ever hesitate by giving this dentistry a chance, I totally recommend this dentistry in this island, great people, excellent service

My daughter had never seen a dentist before and was nervous going in, the staff was very friendly, they took their time to make her feel comfortable and safe and to explain everything they were going to be doing as well as introducing the tools used to her! She had a great experience for her first visit. Highly recommend.

Had the extreme pleasure of visiting Oak Harbor Pediatric Dentistry for the 1st time this week. My 11 year old son is not a fan of going to the dentist, I think he will enjoy it after this visit. Dr. Peter and the entire staff were friendly, patient, and even funny. Dr. Peter's chairside manner is welcoming and comforting. He has an incredible ability to elicit laughter in a situation that many kids, and adults for that matter, dread. I would highly recommend Dr. Peter and the entire OHPD staff for your child's dental care.

This was such an such an amazing place to bring the kids to. We have an 8 and a 4 year old and they loved it. The 4 year old actually wanted to go back and get his cavity fixed. The staff is super nice. The place is ultra clean. We couldn’t ask for a better place. Thank you Oak Harbor Pediatric Dentistry.
