This was a complete mess from pick up to drop off. I have never felt so frustrated in my life. Not only did they took a month to deliver but they store my furniture in a humid place where I got water damage, roaches and mice droppings. My leather couches were ripped, the dressers were broken in the back side it seems like the dropped it, all four corners of the dinning table was damage and too top it all, I am missing boxes to which they said just add it to the claim. In the mean time not only we paid a fortune now we need to buy furniture all over. True State Moving are the worst all the way around

Not sure how they got rated 3.6. They packed horribly and delivered unprofessionally. They taped the furniture directly instead of over the blanket, ruining a lot of our furniture. Broke our marble temple/altar that was expensive and even damaged our new home while moving furniture . They are supposed to be professionals and I was giving them ideas on how to hold the furniture such that they can bring it up without damage any walls. Just kept saying things wont go up the stairs! Obviously no responses once we have paid them! If you have pieces of furniture that is valuable (not just monetary) please

I moved from NYC to South Carolina and guys who came to pick our stuff did a great job packing and loading their truck. But once it got to their storage facility, I don’t know if it was there or when they were unloading the truck that they left my stuff out in the rain or there was a leaking in their storage because my furniture was wet and had some stains on it. Besides, there were a lot of items lost that we never got them back, also broken items and furniture. I have called them to reimburse the damages they did which was supposedly covered by the insurance but nothing, they never called me

Do yourself a favor and NEVER use them! What a nightmare dealing with these people. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear to sell the job but handle the entire process completely unprofessionally. My move was from NJ to Chicago and this process was horrendous to say the least. I was initially going forward with a different moving service because they could do 5-7 business days. True State countered claiming that if I paid for expedited shipping they could guarantee 5-7 business days - which was false. Do yourself a favor and find other movers. First the day of the move the price changed. They scuffed up my walls in my new construction home. The movers told me they were going to have to place the rest of the boxes on the first floor because they had another job. All around extremely unprofessional company. The sales manager is a joke and lies do not trust these people. They will also try to charge you for a COI most companies do not charge for this.

When I booked them, I read reviews after and was instantly facing a cloud of regret and anxiety. I was afraid they wouldn't show up and the company was actually a scam. They did show up, late albeit, but they got the job done. They do charge far more than the quote they give. The quote includes only 3 hours of work which includes the time travelling from point A to point B. I paid twice the amount I was quoted. I put down a deposit for a local move. I decided to move myself and canceled the reservation with True State. I was told I will receive a refund, I have called several times. I was told I received my refund, I how was it returned to me because I have received nothing. They told me I would receive an email with the breakdown and how it was returned, that never happened. I call asking to speak with someone who can assist me with how my refund was returned to me and no one is ever available. I have called several times and I get the same response. I have yet to receive my refund. I would be careful

This company moved me from Palm Springs to North Carolina. Everything was put into climate controlled storage. I've recently moved into my home in NC and am no where near finished unpacking. The amount of crushed boxes, broken possessions and 3 things that I know of that are missing. I don't recommend this company at all. Moving is a stressful enough situation and to have these issues makes it even worse. STAY AWAY

This company didn't do their job at pick up. They entered my home not wearing masks. They up-charged me by over $300 without any reason to back up the 'charges required' and THEN completely left behind the most valuable item I had them move. It's not lost. They've confirmed they have it in their warehouse but are 'unable to deliver' my item. They instead told me I could pick it up from them in their warehouse (after MONTHS of my calling and emailing) which is ridiculous considering I hired them for an interstate move. The worst moving experience you could possibly ever have. lied, never responded to calls, showed up 5 hours late, service was terrible (i could have done it better myself). Worst moving experience. Grant has a serious case of liabetes. Every thing he says is a lie. The movers come a day early because “a truck is in the area.” We decided not to move several large items from the quote, despite this our cost doubled. They put a hole in the wall at our old house. After weeks of waiting they call to say they will arrive at… 4pm. At 4:30pm they call and insist the roads are too narrow and I will have to pay for a shuttle. How much will this add? $900 they say.
