Dr. Cherry began his Toledo practice in 1987. He added the Oregon office in 1993. Dr. Cherry earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Toledo in 1983 and his doctorate in optometry from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Cherry became an associate doctor of the Eye Center of Toledo in 1990.
We provide thorough eye exams using the latest technology, but we also take time to listen to your needs and explain your options. Physical eye health exam. The external and internal parts of the eyes are examined using special instruments like a slit lamp biomicroscope, binocular indirect ophthalmoscope and special focusing lenses.
We see eye emergencies every day. Symptoms of emergencies include eye pain, redness, discharge, sudden loss of vision, flashes and floaters, embedded foreign particles or other injuries. If you ever have unusual symptoms like these, just call our office and we will see you the same day.

The staff is patronizing and rude both in person and on the phone. Our 13 year old daughter was seen by a female eye doctor here and the doctor was snarky when she noticed our daughter was wearing mascara, making a comment about our daughter's age and wearing eye makeup. It's not her job to make parenting decisions for our child. It was unprofessional and unnecessary. She liked to lecture us too, that's how she came across. Very awkward.The front desk staff is not pleasant either. Condescending. This place has a "power trip" kind of vibe. We decided not to use this practice anymore.

My family has been going to Cherry Vision for years...probably 10 or more...and never once had a negative experience. There has been twice over the years we had to make emergency appointments and each time we were given the appointment quickly and seen right away. I appreciate their customer service service and professionalism.

I've been going to this office for a few years now, and each year when I come back for my exam it's worse. They are usually behind schedule by more than 15 minutes. I've even had an instance where I showed up for my confirmed appointment, only to find that a member of their personnel had cancelled my appointment after confirming it. Instead of trying to work me in, as it was their error, they made me reschedule but couldn't get me in again until more than a month later. My son is now at an age where he needs an eye exam, but when I called to schedule him as a new patient, the person I spoke to

I’ve been going to Dr. Cherry since I was a kid and his office was “Sunforest Optical”. I refuse to see any other eye doctor! Now I bring my children to Dr. Cherry and they absolutely love him. His staff is great and I like the fact they won’t let you just grab any pair of glasses that don’t look right on you! Lol. Only downside I’m having is no one can seem to find our glasses order for my husband and I :(. I am sure, however, all will be taken care of!

The doctors at Cherry Vision Center are friendly, professional, and take the time to understand you and answer your questions. Going to the doctor is not my preferred activity, but the staff made me feel comfortable and made my visit pleasurable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an optometrist. i definitely trust them and am much less anxious about my eye care.
