The Absolute worst experience of my entire life, I went in for a full head of highlights and a haircut. Melissa was extremely unprofessional left my hair Brassy, with dark spots everywhere and uneven harsh highlight lines through out my head. I told her in the chair that it didn’t look right, she assured me it was fine. Later that dah I asked her to fix it and she said she will glaze it? I knew it wasn’t going to fix it but who am I to say? Long story short my hair is still messed up, I have to get it fixed somewhere else because it’s unacceptable. 300$ down the drain, STAY AWAY from this

The absolute worst experience of my entire life. My hair stylist is out on leave so I had no choice but to go somewhere else. I went in for a full head of highlights, and came out with yellow brassy roots that didn't match the rest of my hair and cheetah prints. The highlights were so blotchy, the placement was horrible. I spent 300$ including a horrible haircut that was extremely uneven. The same day i messaged Melissa to fix my hair, upon arrival she told me she would just put in a glaze while making me feel uncomfortable the whole time and as if I was annoying her for coming back to fix

I have been a client for about 4 or 5 years. Melissa and the entire Salon Blonde staff are absolutely amazing. They truly make you feel like family when you are there. They are punctual, professional and friendly. The sheer talent and expertise that Melissa offers is second to none. Melissa listens to exactly what you want and the end product is even better than anticipated. The hair care products they use are all top of the line and it shows. I went here about 2 years ago and i had a color job done. It looked nice but within 5 days it faded and i know how to take care of colored hair. for the price i paid, almost $150, i would expect it to last. poor quality and she said to come back and charge me more for her poor job

I have been going to Salon Blonde for 6 years and no one does blonde better than Melissa!!! I have long HEALTHY blonde hair, and not only is she talented, she's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She makes you feel so comfortable and always listens to your concerns. Dee has done so many blow outs for me and is so talented and sweet. The energy and aura of this salon is intimate and just an all around great experience! I highly recommend.

Im sharing this in support of previous clients who have provided honest feedback on Salon Blonde.
My service was last yr...I do not recommend this salon due to the following: incorrect hair color , lack of professionalism, overpriced rate of service plus additional payment for a color correction from stylist who did not pay attention to her work, Rude attitude, and blatant disregard of good customer service.
It started with the owner not taking my appt.and switching it to another hair colorist who was Sick! My hair stylist did not pay attention to what I asked and executed a color job to her

I think the people who are writing reviews about this place are friends of the owner!!
Yes the place is clean, because no one goes there...the only person who is doing hair has no idea about hair or hair coloring, she was very nice until you are not happy whit the results and she does not want to work with you in an agreement. Very unprofessional of her!! SO BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! And check other sites for reviews, you will find the truth!!

I was referred to this salon by the woman I had been using who moved. I went to the salon to consult with the owner who is the only stylist at this time. I went to extreme lengths to explain what I wanted and she assured me she could do it. The day of the appointment I had a photo of the color I did not want and 3 photos of the color i did want. I explained over and over what I wanted. The cut was okay but the color was really bad. She just did not seem to have the ability to understand what I was requesting. I was told to keep washing it and it would get better. I had to return 3 days later to

I am new to the area and this is my third attempt at finding a good salon. I was going the strip mall salons but then I found this place in Port Jefferson Village. The salon is beautiful and clean and the stylist was amazing, I forget her name but I feel she might have been the owner. I love my hair. Thank you so much. I will be recommending this place. I got my hair done and I went shopping for a new outfit to match a few doors down.

If I wanted someone to tell me how I should cut my hair, I would have asked my mom to cut it for me. I had pictures and explained exactly what I wanted but I was met with explanations of why that wasn't a good idea and a cut I'm currently getting fixed a day later. Total waste of time and money.

I just moved 2k miles and was so hesitant to find someone to help me with me very fragile, thin blonde hair. I went on Yelp and was so unbelievably happy to find Kayla. Because of the stress from moving and the hard water on LI I was actually embarrassed to show up but Kayla set my mind at ease. I am so happy I found her. I will be moving 40 miles away, but let me tell you, I will be driving the 80 miles round trip just to be with such a comforting person. I love my color and cut. She's totally worth the drive girls. So glad I have this beautiful woman in my life!

I came into the salon on Saturday by word of mouth...I was greeted with smiles and kindness, it was such a pleasure to be there. The place is absolutely gorgeous, and everyone made me feel so comfortable. Melissa is an amazing stylist, and the products she has at her store are awesome. She kept on making me feel so good while I was there the whole time. My sister and friend have already gone there and they said nothing but good things too! I'm so happy I stumbled on this place, and highly recommend it to all my friends and family! I would give them 10 stars if it were possible!!

I took a leap of faith and booked a blow out for a wedding after reading not-so-great reviews as this was the only place open on Sunday. I'm glad I did. Kayla was terrific. Listen to my request. If I could give this zero stars I would. Worst experience ever. They are SO rude and unprofessional. I left crying because the woman doing my hair was so mean and rough, to the point another stylist had to make her walk away for a second. She ripped out half my hair and yelled at me when I asked her how my hair looked after sitting in silence to whole time. I hope this place gets shut down soon because these people don't need to be working in a salon.

TERRIBLE! Had a nightmare experience here, i explained to Rose what i wanted and with everything i said, she seemed annoyed that I was telling her what to do. She ended up doing the complete opposite of what I asked because she did not want to listen to me and she was very rude. I spent over $250 dollars and for a complete mess and will have to spend a lot more money to get it fixed somewhere else. My hair also feels very damaged now! They have very poor technique and extremely unprofessional.

This is the worst, not only salon I've ever been to, but probably the worst run small business I've ever been to. Starting with the first impression, the salon is just uncomfortable to be in, the girls seemed to be permanently bothered and have barley any social skills. I barely got a "hi" when I walked in and when I unfortunately had a little coughing fit, they just all started at me looking like they'd wish I'd stop. I have mixed feelings about this place. I have been here twice for a blowout and both times my hair came out really great, but the girls who work here are just really not friendly. The first time I came in for a blowout I walked in and was told they were closing. I explained that I had made an appointment online earlier that day and they were still reluctant to take me. So I got get highlights after not bleaching my hair for a year and a half I walk in to the salon with my hair in very good condition i walk out with over processed hair and an extremely uneven hair cut.
Best of all while my hair was being highlighted the colorest was complaining that it was taking so long first of all your being paid to do this.
They dont even have a dryer to process the color they were using a blow dryer never in my life have I ever seen anything like this.

I was looking for a good blond colorist on LI and decided to go to Salon Blonde based on the reviews and pics. Big mistake. During the consultation I informed the colorist that a level 9 was too dark for my base color per my previous experiences. Needless to say she proceeded to put in a level 9 which turned out too dark. I only found this out during my second visit which was supposed to correct the outcome. She also performed the base color and highlights at the same time which resulted in a very sloppy outcome. I now have a dark band OVER highlights on my forehead and half inch of visible base

I just came from my first appointment at Salon Blonde and can not recommend it more! My hair looks beautiful! I am so pleased! Melissa is a very talented hair dresser and the salon is beautiful and comfortable.
