Door doesn't meet current Building Code! The door is wood and is deteriorating. The manufacture of you current door is Out of Business and no longer produces replacement parts. The Center of the door where the motor connects, panel is coming apart. If the motor complies with the current safety standards (safety sensors & auto reverse) you are able to reconnect it.

We have developed a new type of garage door system specifically with hurricane protection in mind. We have been issued 8 Patents specifically for this doors system to achieve the highest design loads available. This is all done without mounting large reinforcement on the back of the door. This helps with clearance to park larger vehicles inside the garage.
Designed in the 1960S The 724 Mono was the first attempt by anyone to build a garage door to withstand Hurricane force winds. The design was so revolutionary that it is used by practically every window and shutter company today for hurricane protection. The original design from the 1960s exceeded Dade County post Andrew building requirements with only the addition of a few U Bars struts.

Needed an old garage door removed. Then needed approved Hurricane Rated installed. They pulled permit. Took down old door and hardware. Within two hours installed new door , new hardware and re hooked up motor. Inspector passed it. JB was very people oriented. Great price and did the job with no issues. Call no one else but JB GARAGE DOORS 👍🏻
