Our Company's 25 Year Journey of Success! Catering Concepts Inc. was officially opened in May of 1993 by the business team of Eddy Byrne and Susan Byrne, with just 700 square feet of office and culinary preparation space. As former owners of the Boxing Cat Caf in Chesapeake, Virginia, the business partners were inspired by the many referrals they received from area Event Planners and former Caterers.
Eddy brings over 40 years of restaurant and food service experience to Catering Concepts, Inc. and was former Co-Owner of Boxing Cat Caf, and Managing Partner of Wesley's Restaurants in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Eddy oversees the "Back of the House" operations for Catering Concepts, Inc. maintaining high standards of quality, excellence, and consistency, while developing menus and pricing for all of our events and personally overseeing all Kosher Food Preparation.Susan has over 30 years of retail and food service experience, working in the restaurant and floral design industries.

At Catering Concepts, Inc. our philosophy is to serve our restaurant quality food in an off-premise catering environment. We pay close attention to every detail, and present beautiful culinary creations paired with impeccable service. The entire staff will assist you with every detail in regards to your party including relevant themes, menu selection, location, rentals and everything in-between.
To ensure consistency within our high standards, our staff continually receives ongoing training and coaching when they join the Catering Concepts, Inc. Team. Catering Concepts carries a Caterers ABC License for the State of Virginia, and offers full ABC Service on premise as well as frozen drink bars, specialty drinks with ice luges, and a wide variety of non-alcoholic options.
The Executive Culinary Team at Catering Concepts, Inc. create custom menus for every event; providing mouth watering cuisine that is as appealing to the eye as it is to the the taste buds. Complimented by our trend forward tabletop design and cutting edge event decor, including unique buffet presentations and food displays, our team of Event Specialists are eager to assist you in planning your next event.
