Patrick is the president and owner of McCann Custom Remodeling. He graduated from Miami University with a degree in physics and mathematics. He has a passion for building businesses, and spends pretty much all of his time reading books, writing, and working. John is the mastermind behind all of McCann's projects.
For over 40 years he's been building and improving homes all across the U.S. from Ohio down to Texas. As our lead project manager, he basically runs the show! On weekends he likes to play golf and watch the Browns hopefully win a game for once! Owner and Chief Adviser, David also operates all of our heavy equipment like dump trailers, lifts, and excavators.

McCann Custom Remodeling was originally founded in 2002 under the name McCann & Son Builders when John McCann became frustrated with the decline of integrity and quality in the construction industry. In 2015, the company changed its name to McCann Custom Remodeling to reflect its new focus on custom renovations rather than new home construction.

My husband and I hired McCann Custom Remodeling for a deck remodel and were simply amazed by the quality of work that was completed. We were so excited to get the deck we wanted and within a reasonable time frame during one of the hardest times ever. (Covid-19) They did all they could for us to receive a great outcome and we appreciate all their hard work. We also appreciated many other things about this company like the daily clean up & removal of old items, always showing up on time & the communication we received. McCann Custom Remodeling did a fantastic job on our back porch. We had an old deck removed and replaced with composite and a roof structure (with lights and ceiling fan). The end result is beautiful! John McCann's attention to detail and quality of work is outstanding. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them!

We had French doors installed for a previously open office space. John was our contact for all planning and communications; he was also the installer. The work was completed in a timely manner and done to specifications. We are happy with the doors. What we are unhappy with is the lack of protective measures due to COVID. John and his assistant did not wear masks while working in our home, even when asked. Could we have postponed the project? Sure. But we went ahead with windows and doors open for ventilation. The lack of consideration of our wishes as the homeowner and customer was unprofessional

John McCann did a wonderful job rebuilding our deck. He is a craftsman first class! Once work was begun, there were no interruptions. The project was completed in less than two weeks time. There was no mess left behind at the end of each day. John and Eric were efficient and on task the entire time they were here. They are "no nonsense" workers. There was no radio playing, singing or goofing off. They are top notch workers who I highly recommend. And our deck is beautiful!

I got the recommendation for McCann Custom Remodeling through Nextdoor and I'm so glad I did. John was very responsive and helpful while we determined the best path to either re-skin or replace our deck. He was very flexible given other projects and the weather, since we wanted minimal downtime and the work was completed quickly and to an amazingly high standard.
