Dr. Hannah Mathers has 26 years of work experience in the horticulture and agriculture industries of the US and Canada. Dr. Mathers' has conducted thousands of herbicide efficacy and phytotocxicity trials, invented five new bio-herbicides with provisional patents and assisted in the registration of seven herbicides in the US nursery industry.

Services
We collect and clean seeds of common weed species (both monocot and dicot) for horticultural research, weed technology field and container trials and agrochemical screening. Of the weed seeds available for sale (see list below, ordered alphabetically by scientific name), quantities are finite. A printable list of our weed seed inventory is available here as well.
Working with chemical companies, non-profit trade organizations, nursery and landscape growers and IR-4 to improve weed control application technologies, timing of applications and weed control practices in nursery fields, landscapes and nursery containers. Our long-term goals are to reduce waste and phytotoxicity while optimizing efficacy.
There are three categories of experiments or trials, preliminary, demonstrational and critical (Steel and Torrie, 1980). Preliminary experiments are ones carried out with many treatments. They are usually conducted to focus the researcher. The most promising treatments from the preliminary trials are investigated in future critical experiments.
