Confidentiality is important as counseling requires a high degree of trust with sensitive subject matter that is sometimes not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office. I will provide you with a written copy of a confidentiality agreement.
State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations: suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults and elders to the authorities, based on information provided by the client or collateral source; if the therapist has reason to suspect the client has threatened to harm another person.

I found Joanna through Yelp and contacted her on behalf of a family member who has different abilities with seeing and hearing. She contacted me promptly and went above and beyond to help me and my family. She was flexible with scheduling and finding ways to meet. On our initial phone call she was a great listener and and very professional. I highly recommend Joanna. She is someone you can trust to really care about your well-being.

I highly recommend Joanna Hill. In talking to Joanna you quickly realize that she cares deeply about your well being and is committed to helping you with whatever issues you and/or your family may be facing. She is well versed regarding additional resources available in the community that might aid you along your path. A real plus for me was her availability by phone, text or email. To sum it all up, I agree with Lynn B, "She is intuitive, open, welcoming and easy to talk to".
