Abiding Presence Lutheran Church is a Christian community of Faith, worship and service grounded in the use of word and sacrament and we welcome all who are seeking God's love and grace. We welcome all because God welcomes all regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or relationship status.
We welcome all without regard to addictions, physical or mental health, imprisonment, socio-economic circumstances, or anything that too often divides us. We are a progressive ELCA Lutheran church serving the greater Rochester area. We value the past but we look forward to the future. We like fun, fellowship, service to our community and a chance to take a critical look at the issues of today, with Christ as our guide.

Services
It was attended by 145 founding members of the United Lutheran Church in America (ULCA) Mission church in North Hills Elementary school cafeteria. Wasting no time, the first building fund drive was quickly organized and raised enough money to buy property and build a church and acquire a parsonage at 191 West Tienken Road.
We welcome everyone to join with us as God's hands in the world. In fact, our favorite part of each church service is the Sharing of the Peace. It takes a while because we all wish to share God's blessing with as many worshipers as we can. Perhaps our second favorite part of Sunday is the coffee (and goodies) time following each service where we meet new people and catch up with each other.
The Lutheran Church gets its name from the 16th century reformer Martin Luther, whose spiritual breakthrough revealed to him that it is God's grace that comes to us, through no work of our own. We believe that scripture is the inspired word of God that is a manger for the living Christ. In scripture God speaks to us a word of love and liberation through the One who endured the cross and rose to life again.
Did you know that fun is a noun (someone or something that is amusing or enjoyable), a verb (to speak or act in a way that is not serious) and an adjective (amusing or enjoyable)? It seems there is always an event or an activity going on that somehow involves fun, either as a noun or verb or adjective.
Depending on conditions, Abiding Presence Lutheran Church offers live virtual worship services, outdoor worship services and in-person services. Holy Communion is the sacrament that nurtures and sustains our faith. We believe that in Holy Communion Christ is fully present to us, and it is Christ who is the host at the meal.

We have been active members of this church for many years. Our daughters attended preschool here and gained a solid foundation for life-long learning. The church is a community of people who have a mission to accept everyone, actively care for others, as well as our environment. Weekly worship service provide inspiration and knowledge to grow in faith.

We attended this preschool in 2019. We were deeply saddened and disappointed to hear that a teacher was let go bc of her personal choice to not vaccinate. Also, new hires must be vaccinated. For a institution that preaches love all.. they sure do discriminate against those who make personal health choices that is no one else’s business. Would not recommend this preschool at all

I am a Lutheran, and I formerly went to St. Luke's in Florida. However, this church is far too political with signage and whatnot on the outside. As a church you represent your religion, not your political beliefs. Especially since I've seen very small children there. It disturbs me that a Church would do this, regardless of the politic side they were following.
