The treatment itself takes about 15-20 minutes to perform. A numbing solution is first place on the area to be treated to ensure there's little to no pain and left on for 20-30 minutes. Pre Corona, I was travelling a lot for work and had the great fortune of getting facials from Eruope and Asia. My point: I am picky and I know what I don't like. I was looking for someone who can continue caring for my skin in a very sustainable manner - ie, as I age, my stressors, hormones, etc.
Rhea is such a lovely and professional aesthetician. I've seen her twice now and each session was great and soothing to my skin. She also doesn't push products on me - rather, she suggests

Do not go here for TCA cross!!!
She absolutely ruined my face. I came in with a small ice pick scar and ended up with a much wider and deeper scar on my nose. It looks like a chunk of my nose is missing. I’ve had TCA cross done at other offices so I know how it is supposed to be done, but she pushed down verrrrry aggressively, causing the scar to worsen and causing further damage. I’ve consulted with actual dermatologists who have confirmed that indeed this was done improperly and it will take multiple intensive treatments to fix what this woman has done. Now I have to spend thousands to fix

I’m not big on getting facials because I’m in my 30’s and take really good care of my skin. But I went to see Rhea two weeks ago because a friend recommended her and she was great. My skin is still glowing and it is so soft. I told her Rhea that my skin is pretty dry right now and she worked her magic. My skin feels great! I definitely recommend going to see her if you have dry skin like me.

Dr Lopez and Brynn have both been very courteous and professional with me. Dr Lopez is very knowledgeable and experienced in treating skin issues, and refreshingly non-pushy. She takes into consideration my feedback and concerns. I've had two Dermapen and one TCA cross treatments for severe acne scarring. I've seen a huge improvement in both scar reduction as well as skin rejuvenation (plumper and even skin tone) and texture (softer, smoother with smaller pores). I do sincerely follow post procedure recommendations and have a daily skincare routine..both of these are important to see good results

I cannot say enough about Dr Lopez and her assistant, Brynn. They are incredibly kind and patient, and the service is outstanding. I went to Dr Lopez because of acne scarring, which was incredibly emotionally distressing. I did a lot of research and learned that dermapen and TCA cross were the most effective treatments for acne scarring, and she is the only person in the east bay (and possibly the Bay Area) to offer both, combined.
