All patients are examined and treated personally by Dr. Chen, a trained prosthodontist and implant surgeon. His dual prosthetic and surgical background provides treatment results that you can trust. Prosthodontics is one of the nine specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.

Dr. James Chen is a prosthodontist, a dental specialist in smile solutions, implant dentistry, and oral reconstructions. He completed his prosthodontics residency at Harvard University where he received his Master of Medical Sciences degree (MMSc) and certificate in prosthodontics. Prior to that, he finished his dental training and attained the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University.
Crowns and bridges usually take two or three appointments to complete. On the first appointment the teeth are prepared. Temporary crowns or bridges are placed to protect the teeth while the custom restoration is being made. After each appointment when anesthetic has been used, your lips, teeth, and tongue may be numb for several hours after the appointment.
Our office is conveniently located in the heart of the beautiful city of Arcadia, at the intersection of Baldwin and Duarte Avenue. We are located just south of Wells Fargo Bank, and north of Bank of America on Baldwin Avenue. There is ample free parking immediately behind the office with designated handicap spots and in the vast parking lot adjacent to it.

There's good, there's great, and there's legendary. Dr. Chen is legendary. I needed implants, crowns, fillings, the works. I'm always amazed at how he administers shots and I'm never afraid of the dentist visits. I live 45 min away because i don't mind a long commute to get the best services. I have nearly fell asleep in his chair!
His front desk staff is also amazing and I never get any surprise bills and I always know what everything is going to cost. Sandy is just a doll and I love seeing her when I come in.
I really don't think there's a better dentist

I've been going to Dr Chen's office for both treatments and routine check ups/cleanings for more two years now. On my first visit, Dr Chen gave a thorough exam/assessment and provided me a detailed treatment plan. He has great "bedside manner" and gave me his full attention, answered all my questions. My visits are always smooth.
I would definitely recommend Dr Chen.

Had a bad experience with this place from my initial consultation. Rude and unprofessional behavior from Sandy the receptionist. Unreasonable attitude from the doctor. Very happy that I ended up finding a different doctor that gave me a completely opposite experience of what I had with this place.
Prior to my consultation/exam here, I explained to Sandy my situation on the phone so the doctor would be aware ahead of time. I'm currently in orthodontics treatment and once I'm done will need crowns. She told me the price for my exam appointment would be $80, which would cover all visits

Because of a bad experience at another dentist, I didn't come back to any dentist for quite awhile. So naturally when finally coming back I had a bunch of issues to handle. Dr. Chen setup and walked me through my treatment plan and every visit since my first has been excellent.
Like most, I have a lot of "dental anxiety" but the doctor here makes sure to take time during the visit to make sure things going smoothly. If something is wrong, or hurting, he will take the time to make sure I am comfortable before continuing the procedure. Reception and billing have also been a breeze

About a year ago I was searching for a reliable dentist I can keep throughout the coming years....and I wasn't disappointed. A friend had referred me to Danimere Dentistry and I was instantly sold on my initial teeth cleaning visit.
Dr. Chen is the model dentist everyone wants to go to. His level of expertise, communication and thoroughness is the best I've experienced. Great service and staff all around.
Do yourself a favor and let Dr. Chen be your dentist....then you can pretend to your friends that you only know him through word of mouth.....that's how good he is.

I am extremely pleased with the work that Dr. Chen had done for me - eight upper front veneers and crowns, and six lower veneers. My reason for going to Danimere Dentistry was because my original set of veneers and crowns were not only opaquey and gray, they simply weren't made correctly as my bite was off. The previous dentist attempted to grind them down, but that only made them look even worse. My orthodontist friend recommended that I seek out a prosthodontist but couldn't make any recommendations as she is located out of state. I found Danimere Dentistry after a thorough search on

I have been to several dentist prior to seeing Dr. Chen, he is by far the best dentist I have seen. Not only is he patient and gentle, he also explains every procedure very clearly.
I recently bleach my teeth here too and the result was impeccable. Very grateful for Dr. Chen for his service and teaching me so much about teeth maintenance!

I honestly can't thank Dr. Chen and the staff here enough for their impeccable service and hospitality. I was recommended to Danimere by family as I had moved from Chicago to L.A and was looking for a new dentist in the L.A. area. I was overdue for a cleanse, so I figured I'd check it out.

I do not know anyone who enjoys going to the dentist but if you have to go you need to seek out Dr. James Chen. He does not rush the consultation and he does not lecture about flossing like so many annoying dentist. Dr. Chen is very gentle and is very cognisant of the patient's pain level. While waiting in the waiting room you can not help but be impressed by his credentials. Columbia dental and Harvard specialty.

Dr. Chen is an example of a dentist that has many accolades and also a dentist you can trust. He takes time during his procedure to ask you if you feel any pain and trust me, I did not feel any pain at all! His skills are very gentle and precise and he makes sure everything is perfect before he lets you leave his clinic. Front office staff and his dental assistant are great and professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

I haven't been to the dentist in six years before visiting Dr Chen, as I've always dreaded going to the dentist. I finally decided I should get my teeth cleaned before going to my brother's wedding.
Dr Chen was very gentle, but thorough, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. The entire experience was pain free and pleasant. I'll be visiting much more often now!

Dr. James Chen did a wonderful job on our routine teeth cleaning, he explained our teeth condition very detail and with great patience after the examime, he also cleaned our teeth extremely gentle and thoroughly, my son and myself were very pleased from that teeth cleaning experience. I then scheduled a deep clean and filled the cavity as Dr. Chen's suggestion, it was long hours process, I was very nervous from beginning, but just a while later, I felt that I could be relax and counted on his gentle work, I'll definitely be back to compete another side of deep clean without fear next

My second time visiting Dr. Chen. First time was to fix a filling and this time is to replace a missing crown. I would describe Dr. Chen's style as efficient and precise but with a gentle touch. The quality of his work is first rate. He also tries to minimize the discomfort as much as possible to ensure a relaxing and pleasant visit. Highly recommended.

Went to Dr. Chen for a cleaning. He did a great job. I always go for cleaning every 6 months. This is the only time my teeth felt clean. Kept build up on teeth away. Other dentist I notice did not do this. In fact, they try to rip me off and insist I do a deep cleaning. Dr. Chen told me it was not necessary because my gums are very healthy. He's the only one I've been to that doesn't push unnecessary work on me. I'll go back knowing he will be honest telling me what I need and don't need.
