It takes more than technical skills to be a good children's dentist. It takes compassion and commitment. Dr. Eddie So has those traits in abundance. While making your child - and you - comfortable, he gets your child off on the right path to dental health. Dr. Eddie received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego in 1991.
Dr. Alexander Alcaraz earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He attended Harvard University to earn his degree in dental medicine (Class of 2005). Although he loved the experience of living in Boston, the warmer days in California and being close to his loved ones was too hard to resist.
Dental care is one of the most important primary health care facilities for children. Children have deciduous teeth until they turn teens. Their food habits and the sensitiveness of primary teeth, makes it necessary for parents to take good care of the dental health of the children. The primary teeth of kids and their oral cavity is much different from those of adults.
Our teeth, gums, and jawbone are designed to function harmoniously. The chewing efficiency is high when teeth are in the right positions. When the teeth are crowded or when the bite is improper, the teeth and gums are at higher risk of infection.

We love Dr. Eddie and his staff. My daughter has been coming to Dr. Eddie since she was 2. Dr. Eddie and his staff are always patient and happy to answer any questions or concerns. I wish Dr. Eddie was my dentist. My daughter will be getting braces soon and we will be seeing Dr. Tom who works in Dr. Eddie's office. I can't not say enough good things about Dr. Eddie and his staff. My daughter was traumatized by the first dentist she went to at a year old. But she was not nervous or scared when we first saw Dr. Eddie. He has tv's on the ceilings so the kids can watch while their teeth

The service is the same for everyone. But it's totally overcharged with annual tooth cleaning and X-ray.
I have PPO dental insurance from the company (I pay the premium) but ended up sending the bill to my insurance to claim $329 while my insurance only covers $174, so $155 is from my pocket. And they claim it's because it's out of network. However, we have never been informed while my wife brings a kid to see the doc at the front desk. I called the office right after I received the bill. I feel this is a scam since the kid only gets the routine service, and they should inform

We love Dr. Eddie So and his staff. We are always seen soon after we arrive. His clinic is always clean and staffed with professional and polite team members. What we love the most is Dr. Eddie’s gentle, engaging and empathetic view of treating title patients. He can easily talk to a child and make the child feel comfortable and trust him. We came to see Dr Eddie for our then 3 yr old son's extensive dental work which involved IV sedation. Staff and doctor are good but they charge triple what other dentists charge. It was a little over $300 for cleaning, exam and x-ray I should have called around before coming since we are cash patients ( my bad). But if you have insurance maybe this is the place for you! Kids did enjoy watching a movie while getting their teeth cleaned!

We love Arcadia Pediatric, Dr. So, and the staff! Everyone is so friendly and professional. They are so wonderful with kids. Both of our girls come here and love it. The office is super clean and kid friendly. They do a great job with teeth cleaning and making the kids feel comfortable during the cleaning.
Dr. So is very thorough with the exam. He will check each tooth, the bite, the alignment, any wear, etc. After the exam, he explains everything to the parent(s) in detail, and provides recommendations, possible/future procedures, what to look out for, and more. He genuinely cares for his patients

Dr Eddie So and his staff are awesome! I recently took both my boys (3 years and 1 years) and they did an amazing job. My 3 year old was terrified but the lady who cleaned his teeth was extremely patient and was able to calm him down. She was able to clean his teeth and Dr. So was able to do his evaluation. My youngest kept admiring Dr. So and had no issues. Don't forget to ask for the "my first visit" award. I forgot to ask my youngest since my oldest has his from 2 years ago :(

Dr. Eddie makes kids feel super comfortable and will talk your kids through out a procedure. My son has two cavities to work on today and Dr Eddie had "Gummy Bear Air" for him to relax. My son is super scared of needles and even asked Dr Eddie if he was going to get a shot. He said yes, but that he was going to num the area first so he won't feel a thing and that he does that for 2-3yrs old kids. He put my son at ease and my son completely trusted him. When we first came to see dr. So, my son was so frightened of any dentists! We couldn't even have him sit in the chair. Today, seven years later, Dr. So and Dr. Tom's Office is his favorite get away place. It's unbelievable how comfortable and happy they make him feel. I am so grateful for the wonderful job they do every day! I wish I had such amazing experience growing up. Definitely recommend them as pediatric dentists and orthodontist, and we look forward to seeing them again soon!

I brought my 1.5 year old son to see Dr. Eddie for his first dental visit. It went great and my son really liked the office. He liked watching the Disney movie in the waiting area and the ocean theme in the bathroom. After Dr. Eddie checked his teeth and gave me some tips on toddler dental care, he got to pick a toy. It was a quick and easy visit. Thank you!

Dr. Eddie So is a true blessing! I sought a new dentist after my 3 year-old daughter was screaming due to a toothache, and her dentist was unable to be reached.
I researched dentists and stumbled upon Dr. So. My daughter walked into his office, and I was amazed that he even got her to open her mouth! No coaxing or bribes! He simply used his charm and his sense of humor. I truly believe that it was the environment and Dr. So's caring nature that she perceived.
It was amazing to see my daughter at peace in a dentist's chair! It was a huge contrast to visits with her past

Took my daughter for her first ever dentist visit. From the time she walked in the door they did everything they could to put her at ease and make it fun for her. Dr. Soo and his staff were wonderful. After her visit was over she asked when she was going back. If you have children I highly recommend them.

I would like to preface this review by saying I did not personally take my child there, and cannot speak to the facilities, service, or staff. Perhaps the next question is then, why do I feel qualified to write a negative review, let alone a review at all? I will briefly describe what earned simply one star.
My daughter needed dental care out of state, and I called them to get her dental records and X-rays. They asked for my email address and sent them five minutes later. While I appreciate the expediency in which they delivered the documents, I was soon wondering why none of my personal information

If I could give more stars, I would! Dr. Eddie and his staff are the best in the business! We have been bringing our children for 9 years!
Dr. Eddie is thorough. He fully explains everything to both the child and the parent. My Children look forward to going to their checkups! Dr. Eddie & his staff are professional, gentle & exceptionally compassionate! We now live an hour away and still drive in to see them! This kind of office isn't common, they love what they do & it shows! My Daughter actually requests for Dr. Eddie to pull her loose teeth! :) Also, the office itself is beautiful

I was recommended to Dr. Eddie So years ago by a friend. Both Eddie So and Vivian Yee are amazing pediatric dentists!
Let me add that my 9 yr old son is probably not the ideal patient. The staff puts Kevin at ease. They are very friendly and explain everything that they do so that he is aware of what will take place during the visit.
I always recommend this office to my mommy friends looking for a pediatric dentist!

That moment of happiness when you find your child's dentist. After a bad experience with my child's previous dentist, we ended up here. What was the bad experience you ask ? My child had to be restrained to get X-rays & cried the entire time. I do not know who was more traumatized, my child or me.

Our 2 year old son enjoyed his first dental visit here and said it was fun!
Upon entering, kids are delighted to see a little waterfall fountain, monkeys hanging on trees, cartoons on TV and game consoles for games. The receptionist and staff greeted us with a warm welcome and made my son and us feel very comfortable.
Dr. Eddie So explained to us how to take care of our son's teeth with preventative measures and life style changes. He also went over what to expect in terms of molars coming in and how to alleviate any discomfort he might go through and how to avoid fevers related to teething
