At this point it feels like I have had Chapman work on everything in my house except the pipes themselves. I mention this because over the last 18 months I have had them replace 2 Furnances, 2 AC units, 1 Water heater and help to diagnose a leak and fix the issue (toilet flange that settled and opened up a gap in the floor).
I have gone back to Chapman Brothers time after time because they are professional, their office staff is friendly and informative and their plumbers are personable, thorough and do high quality work. There are probably companies that you can get to do a cheaper job of it

Service call was yesterday. Tech was extremely knowledgeable. He was concerned about oil in ac overflow pan, good news is it must have been from old system so no extra charge there. I also thought I needed to reinstall a toilet because it was loose on the floor. Tech told me he could do it, but really all I needed was to shim it and caulk it. This was easy so I said I would do it myself. It is rare to find a company that is so honest and trustworthy. They are not looking to just make extra money by tacking on jobs. I called and spoke to a friendly, helpful person. A technician arrived the same day and was able to repair my leak quickly. Let us preface our review by saying we have an older home which had very specific needs and limited space to work with. It should also be noted that all of these projects needed to be precisely timed around a concurrent foundation repair (I-beams encased in concrete being placed along all of the walls in our basement).

Chapman Brothers have been a lifesaver for us. Our furnace gave out in peak summer and we knew we had time before we needed to install it for winter so we got quotes from a bunch of contractors. Chapman Brothers were not the cheapest but the knowledge and experience that Tom brought was second to none. As luck would have it, we ended up needing to do the installation much earlier because of an upcoming new arrival in the family. Tom and his team were amazing - dropclothes everywhere and tidied up the place after. A couple of days after installation, the new machine turned off. Quick text message

We had used Chapman Brothers for years. They tend to do a great job, and Billy is wonderful. However, over the last few years, their service (especially in the office) has not been a positive experience. Also, they have started to nickel and dime more than ever. We are going elsewhere after we were told a service would cost one price and then they tried to charge us more to complete the job. As excellent clients for many years, who have never had an issue with paying on time (many, many thousands of dollars) I was extremely disappointed by their rudeness. A year ago Chapman Brothers put in a new furnace and air conditioner. the price was competitive as I got 3 quotes. The crew came with Tom, they were extremely efficient, clean and thoughtful. the unit they recommended runs great and I am saving money and energy. On Friday night late this holiday weekend, I found my hot water heater flooding my finished basement, and the pipe unable to be turned off. I called my worry free PSEG and after 20 min on "you will be the next call" no answer, I called Chapman, Bill called back immediately and said he would come over, less than 10 min. later

When I took my shower this morning I discovered that my 40-gallon gas water heater died last night and it was under 20 degrees outside. Right away I called contractors that I knew and hit the directories too. Chapman called back promptly and agreed to send someone out for $69 to give me a quote. The tech called me and asked what kind of unit I currently had and put a replacement unit on the truck. The quality of their work was excellent. They dropped protective plastic on my floors and stairs to keep everything clean from tracking in winter salt outside.

I had a bunch of work done with Chapman, both big and small projects, and love working with them. They are big enough to tackle the large jobs but also has the small company feel as both owners, Bill & Tom, were hands on doing some of the work. Their Straight Forward pricing is legitimate, not just marketing fluff, and only got charged what I was quoted. I felt they even when above and beyond and didn't try to nickle & dime me for things they did that we didn't specifically discuss beforehand and their pricing was very reasonable. I had a tech come to my home today. Water heater was completely dead. No juice at all. Guy shows up, looks around for a bit, finds the issue. Fixes it on the spot. I got heat again like that. Bing, bang, boom. He also explained to me every part of the heater and what needs to be done and watched for going forward. Professional, great service, timely. Using them in the future.

We had Chapman Bros install a mini split air conditioning system in our home earlier this summer. After meeting a few different companies for quotes, we decided on Chapman. They weren't the cheapest option but they seemed the most professional and honest of everyone we met with- they also offered the best warranty out of the other companies. We're so glad we went with them- everything was finished within one day and passed all the inspections with flying colors. Best of all, our house was an ice box during this brutally hot summer.

I highly recommend Chapman Brothers for any plumbing projects or emergencies. They did my basement renovation and have provided exemplary customer service and workmanship. Bill, the owner, worked with us to come up with a solution for our project and quickly provided a reasonable written estimate. He even performed a lot of the work and oversight himself.

My wife was told my Chapman's reps that the $70 fee for coming out would be credited against any work that was done. That was lie. After reviewing the bill and not seeing the credit we called them to dispute the bill and they told us that they always charge the $70. I plan on making a BBB complaint as well.
