Dr. Jaime I grew up in Lake Geneva, WI. I attended UW-River Falls and received a Bachlor's degree in biology. I then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2003. I have worked in private practice for 4 years, emergency medicine for 5 years and have spent the last year as resident veterinarian at Globe University for the veterinary technology program.
Wausau Animal Hospital uses the anesthesia options proven safest for your pet. For your pet's safety we always have a CVT (certified veterinary technician)or a veterinarian monitoring anesthesia throughout the surgical procedure. In addition to keeping your pet's mouth free from pain, a healthy mouth can greatly benefit the rest of their body.

This vet was top notch, the absolute best, but something changed, its not family oriented like it use to be. The vet techs are cold, and a veterinarian misdiagnosed 2 of my animals and they both died 6 months later after seeing her. I ended up finding a different vet and several of my family and friends have all switched too saying it’s just not like it use to be.

My cat had a Dental which was a new experience to me as a cat-owner then previously before. I was nervous about cost, but the ending result came well within the estimate this facility gave me. So far, I have meet wonderful employees both in person and on the phone. The doctor let me be in charge of making informed and educated choices about my pet's well-being. Overall, I have had great experiences here and I am happy I chose WAH.

**amending my review** stopped coming here after they wouldn't refill her prescription for labs that weren't due for another 30+ days. Also, they're customer service has tanked since covid and their remodel. I've since left and have gone somewhere else to take care of my young at heart kitty after taking her here from 2016-2019. Definitely feels like they began only caring about the bottom line after the remodel and not their pet patients anymore.

Horrible service! I’ve gone here 3 times and everytime has been a waste of money and time. I had an appointment for two new puppies for the 6th the vet messed up and scheduled me for the 2nd. They then message me after my appointment with (no reminders before hand ) saying that I missed my appointment. I explained to the lady on the phone that my appointment was scheduled for the 6th and she told me that I now have to wait a month until I can get my puppies in . It’s not my fault they messed up my appointment.
This vet is a joke and doesn’t care about the safety of their animals or the concerns

I cannot express how helpful and caring they are here!! I was visiting Wisconsin a few weeks after my dog had surgery at home in Texas.
Long story short, something had gone wrong during the initial surgery. Wausau Animal Hospital spotted it immediately and worked tirelessly to help my dog. They called the other vet in TX, the drug manufacturers - everyone that was involved in order to get to the bottom of the issue. They went above and beyond even though I wasn’t even from this area.
Everyone that works here is SO caring. I truly felt like my dog was getting the best care here, so I ended up
