For over 16 years John has been dedicated to criminal defense. John has conducted more than 60 felony jury trials to verdict in Federal and State courts (he stopped counting long ago) along with numerous misdemeanor trials. Raised in Kansas, John has strong ties to the Kansas legal community.
During John's career as a defense attorney, John has represented individuals charged with nearly every existing state and federal crime ranging from murder to low level misdemeanors.John also represents individuals in all aspects of family law. Cheyenne Meier is a Legal Assistant with Mack & Associates who has worked in the field of law since 2015. She began with a collections firm and found that she very much enjoyed law but not the collections aspect. She wanted to work for the other side of the equation, and now she assists Mack & Associates' bankruptcy attorneys.
Hillary Stirling wears several different hats in our office, the most common ones being paralegal and webmaster. Even though she grew up in Montana, she earned an A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Utah Valley University in 2010 and a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University in 1999 (also in Utah).
Jenna Love is the legal secretary at Mack & Associates and has been a part of the legal field since 2019. Jenna was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas and currently is a full time student at Washburn University. Besides being a dedicated secretary and student Jenna also enjoys reading, photography and running her own business.

Very informative and up front with full representation of what I could expect every step of the way. Expertly handled all meetings and hearings with an active understanding of what was the most likely course of action and the appropriate steps to take. The breakdown of discovery was very informative and helped me make educated and informed decisions of which direction to take my defense. Worst experience with an attorney that I’ve ever had. Extremely forgetful and belittling toward me. Literally said he was tired of my case and ready to get it off the books. I can’t believe how much I paid to be treated like a burden. I’m left navigating the court system on my own to figure out what I need to do for diversion or even if he signed the thing after I dropped it off. Their bankruptcy team may be good, but I would never recommend John Kerns to anyone that I care about. Made such an awful experience even worse. Thanks.

When I filled for bankruptcy I wasn’t sure of what it all entailed but Mack & Associates made everything very clear and understandable. They allow you to ask questions until you understand what is going on. The process itself was very quick. They reached out to me the same day I asked for some information and got into the office with a meeting within that same week. They are also very prompt at replying to messages and questions you might have after that first meeting. I’m very thankful for the work they have done and for helping me through this process.

I thought that this whole bankruptcy experience was going to be hard and scary. I was actually really nervous going into my first appointment, and even nervous about the whole trustee meeting thing. Its actually not been bad at all. Adam is actually really friendly and is really good about explaining things in a easily understood manner. He's really put my mind at ease. Would recommend to others.

Mack & Associates did a great job working with me. Took about 10 months for me to finally file, (my fault), and at no point did he try to rush me. Very professional and worked to do what was best for me. Although I don't necessarily recommend bankruptcy, if you find yourself in that position, they are a good place to go. Never feel made to feelinadequate, they generally care.

My wife and I both enjoyed talking over our plans with Adam. He is not only knowledgeable but also willing to delve into uncharted waters to make sure that the law is followed to the letter. I say this because we are from Oklahoma, and Adam researched Oklahoma law before filing our bankruptcy case in Kansas.
He was also there whenever we needed his presence. He accompanied us to our creditors' hearing. He was also available by phone pretty much whenever we had questions. He even met with us on a couple occasions when we didn't have time to make an appointment for a brief meeting.
