With over 7,000 square feet of pure fun, Kid's Resort is the ultimate after school destination for children in Richmond, TX. Since 2012, our child care center has provided a place for school-aged children to learn, have fun, and make memories. I began working in my mother's child care facility in 1982 while a junior in high school. I then received my degree in Family and Child Development from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. After graduating, I spent several years working in a full-time facility when an opportunity to start the after-school programs for Lamar CISD was awarded to me in 1997.

This place is by far the best Daycare I have ever had the pleasure of using. My son loves it, my husband loves it , and I Love it! The Staff is amazing and so personable. They actually pay attention to every child and their needs. My son was recently having some bully issues at school and broken down once he got to daycare. They called me immediately and the staff made him feel safe and helped build his confidence by telling him how brave he was. They never cease to amaze me. They had me in tears. I've enrolled my daughter for the Summer 2019 camp. She loves it and has loads of fun. My only concern is the attitude of the front desk staff. There's a huge lack of positive energy within them. Most mornings I can barely get a hi from the girls. In my past experience with other daycares, I've been greeted with positive energy. Given the fact that this is a daycare and they work with children their energy could be more cheerful. I've even called to ask questions and the girls on the phone are also either half of sleep or sound annoyed.
