Kevin and Doctor Locksmith came through for us when the door lock to access the backyard to our row home went kaput. It literally fell out of the door! While this was by no means an emergency, Doctor Locksmith sent Kevin over to our home within an hour to assess and repair. Kevin arrived with a mask on which I very much appreciated considering the new COVID variant. The consult fee to come and assess was $34. He explained that he'd work on removing the old, broken lock and then discuss replacement. There was a consult fee, lock removal fee and then he replaced both (2) locks on the door. It

200 dollars to open a house door with a balloon device designed for cars. Is this really what a true "locksmith" uses to open a house door? Kind of ridiculous, felt like a scam considering the technician (who seems to be subcontracted by the company) wouldn't estimate the cost over the phone. Shady and unexpected considering the overwhelming good reviews.

This is my second go around with Doctor Locksmith. In both instances Doctor locksmith has met and or exceeded my expectations. Not only was Kevin able to quickly install new locks, he was also able to evenly align a wobbly door to ensure my new digital lock moves seamlessly and locks perfectly.
Kevin is solid and did an amazing job. My only gripe is the price. Locks are not reasonably priced in my opinion. I have found the only locksmith I will ever need. I locked myself out of the house early one morning and needed fast help. I searched for 24 hour locksmiths because this was around 6am. David picked up on the second ring, gave me an estimated cost if all went as planned, and 21 minutes later, Stephen arrived! I do not recommend this company. I just bought a new home that I wanted to get my locks changed. I was told by Kevin I would have a free estimate via yelp message and even texted him my address and a photo of the locks as he requested. Not long after the person from the company came out (not Kevin) he came into my home and gave me the estimate which to me was higher than if I were to get a new door installed from Home Depot. He quoted me for $150 for my door locks and the storm door would be $250 he quoted so I declined and thanked him for coming out. At that time this person was at the front of

Very quick service when I was locked out of my apt. Only thing I didn't like was that on the phone, the guy couldn't give me an estimate of cost. So I didn't know price until the locksmith was at my apartment door with my dog going crazy on the other side of the door, because it had been too long since she was taken out. Obviously at that point, it had already been a very long evening, and I had no choice but to just say yes. Called and made a same-day appointment for a free estimate. Steven came on time (at the beginning of the window), explained what he would need to do to install the smart deadbolt lock I purchased off Amazon and how much it would cost to add additional locks, etc. It was a great price (about ~$100 cheaper than the estimate I got from another locksmith over the phone) so I said yes, and he installed my locks on the spot, rekeyed a bottom lock, and made a spare key using the equipment in his truck.

When I purchased my home people told me the first thing I should do was get my locks changed. I've always known locksmiths to be con artist that tell you one thing to get your service then they jack up the price when they get there. I thought it was a little odd that they wouldn't quote me over the phone since everyone else did but I allowed them to come out for a quote. The guy that came out was super nice and respectful calling me Ms. LaToya the entire time. He changes the locks on all the doors in my home for less than I would have spent if I replaced all the locks from home depot
