Sporty's has been a Bloomingdale Icon since the 1970's. Initially owned by Jim & Gayle Dvorak. In Spring of 2015, they hand the reins over to Laurie & Rocco Zaccardi, as they began their retirement. Sporty's has undergone many changes over the past 40+ years. Originally known as Sporty's Red Hots, specializing in hot dogs, and similar menu items.

I come here WEEKLY!!! Their food is TO DIE FOR OH MY GOD! The famous tenders are delectable! The gyros are soooo good! And don't get me started on the Italian beef sandwiches!!!!!!! If you're smart you'll go during the week during the deals! I always enjoy my time at sportys and the employees are so friendly! I LOVE THIS PLACE! The sweet potato fries are amazing, ask for them extra crispy though or they sometimes are a little soggy.

Bought the beef sandwich and it was very fatty and had bad mouth feel. I only could eat half and brought the remaining half home to eat for lunch the next day. Next day, I looked at it and remembering all the negatives about it, I decided to just throw it away. I won't order it again if I return. So many places have a better beef sandwich. The fries were good.

I've been going to Sportys for a while but I tell you Rocco is such an awesome owner but overall person. He's outstanding when he comes up to the customers and talks to them asking about the food to stories which I like since places don't do that when you are at a restaurant. He goes above and beyond. They have such great food too! Thanks!

The tenders specials on Wednesday are the only reason I come here. Pretty good tenders and great HM. I am concerned that none of the workers had masks on. Definitely a deal breaker for future visits in this day and age. Plus, isn’t it a mandate currently in IL while indoors? Definitely something the owner should address for the safety of everyone involved. This post is not politically motivated, just the truth as I see it 🤟

Unfortunately got a sharp peice of bone in my chicken tenders on 7/8 5PM. tried to call and ask for some sort of work around to be told they didn’t know how to help me in this situation, as a manager wasn’t around to help. Sportys is a spot my family enjoys often, and i know it’s mostly on their supplier, so hopefully it isn’t a long term issue

By far the best Chicken strips around. Better than Rasing Kane’s, Village Tavern, and Chik- fil-a. The owner is usually here and he is a very friendly talkative guy. The service is fast polite and friendly. Tables are clean, bathrooms are clean. They have hand sanitizer out to keep your hands COVID Free.
Also the cannoli Shake is a must try.

This place is surprisingly good! I passed by here many times before finally trying it out. I'm glad I did. We had the burgers and fries with cheese curds and the steak sliders. Everything was very flavorful. The staff was witty and the whole place has a great vibe. Seating is limited but there was plenty of space to spread out. We are definitely coming back!
