Preschool and pre-kindergarten children are ready to grow! At this age, they are eager to explore the workings of their ever-expanding world. It is a time when self-confidence, social and emotional skills and the development of communication are the key to their future success. Our nurturing teachers are all educated professionals who are focused on each individual child's personal achievement of developmental milestones.
At Pre-School Playmates we prepare children for kindergarten and beyond, with the social skills and self-confidence needed for a lifetime of academic success and happiness. We strive to instill a true love of learning that will help them for the rest of their lives. We believe every child deserves an amazing early childhood experience and we will work every day to be sure they get one at Pre-School Playmates!

Did you know that pretend play is a great (and fun!) way to boost your little one's early develop. RT @hgse: HGSE professor @DanaCMcCoy recently spoke with @ABC about her new research: Kids need more than academic content. The most important things that the children learn in the Preschool Program are social and listening skills as well as the ability to follow directions. Your child will also learn how to meet and interact with new friends, listen to stories in a group environment, etc. We also work with them on their socioemotional and cognitive skills.
We feel that children have far too much "screen time" in their daily lives so, we pledge to you that we will never allow technology into the classrooms at PSP. While this may sound a bit old-fashioned, we're OK with that. We're confident that the most important thing at this age is not learning how to "finger swipe" on a smart phone or "pinch zoom" on an iPad.
