For over four decades, The Beachcomber's Inpatient Treatment Facility has holistically cared for those suffering from the challenges of alcoholism and/or drug addiction. Located just steps from the beach in Delray, Florida our goal is an individual's success in overcoming the battle of addiction.

At the Beachcomber, our central aim is to facilitate real, sustainable change in our patients. We are dedicated to providing support to each person regardless of their socioeconomic status or background. With this aim, we work with health insurance companies to provide the highest level of addiction recovery care while not making it a financial burden on patients.
We understand how difficult it is picking phone up and telling a stranger you need help. Most of our employees have been or had loved one's in your shoes. We understand, and we are your advocate from the moment you call us. Our purpose is to assist you professionally and confidentially in finding the most appropriate care that will provide the greatest positive impact.
Although significant progress has been made to reduce the stigma of drug addiction, it can still feel incredibly difficult to admit to yourself or loved ones that your drug use has become unmanageable and you require help. Furthermore, it might be a tough, emotional journey encouraging a loved one to recognize that they have a drug addiction and require help.

I got sober June 4, 1997. The Beachcomber was a blessing in my life. Joe checked me in and the staff was incredible. Stephanie and Marcel were great teachers. The entire staff was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the Beachcomber to anyone who wants to get sober/clean. I had a drug addiction and thought I was different. They taught me what my addiction was. I think the Beachcomber was the absolute best place for me. I picked up my one and only white chip on June 4, 1997.

The therapists at the Beachcomber are truly miracle workers. My obsessions over drinking and drugging were so intense that my life was a ruin. I entered Beachcomber directly from the Emergency Room after staying the night in a guarded room. I was on the very edge of insanity. Through the Beachcombers intense therapy (150 hours over 28 days ) i found structure self discipline and love from the incredible staff who are excellent at what they do. The Beachcomber transformed my life and set me on a course to true happiness. I want to thank Wendy, Tony, Robert, Nicky, KJ, Val, Dr Carraba, Mike, Kelsey

A family member was in this program and when they were diagnosed with Covid abruptly tossed in a hotel room with three months of new medication as a newly diagnosed mental health disorder and extreme substance abuse with no follow up. I tried to follow up and was not called back by program director. This was such a life threatening ethical disaster. He remains drinking in a hotel room at this time with no support. I would make sure your loved one does not participate in this program.

I cant say enough about the beachcomber. For me it was a life transforming experience. Gaining knowledge about our disease is an integral part of every day and is done in great detail. Along with that a major focus of the program is centered on self examination. Individual therapists...individual attention as well as group therapy was excellent. What is behind my addiction ,What have been my life experiences ,.traumas , character defects and attitudes. From that extensive analysis they helped me to create the person i want to become one day at a time in sobriety. There are 16 patients in 8 cottages

The Beachcomber is a magical environment where the treatment is geared to meet the clients unique needs with a balance of family therapy (for the loved ones affected by the alcoholic/addict) yoga, acupuncture meditation and fun therapy I.e. arts and crafts designed to help the recovering addict/alcoholic work through difficult past experiences such as triggers, prior shortcomings, guilt and shame just to name a few. The program is intensely driven by the 12 step model that has proven to be effective since 1935. I would highly recommend this treatment facility for anyone that is serious about beginning

My son got excellent treatment at The Beachcomber. I am a psychologist and former EAP manager for American Airlines, so have had the opportunity to tour and work with many addiction treatment programs around the US. I am so glad Beachcomber was available to my son. The staff is caring and knowledgeable. The small population means every patient is well known and carefully tracked. The program stays close to the 12 Steps and insists that patients take responsibility for their past behavior. I would recommend The Beachcomber to anyone seeking addiction help.

The Beachcomber was a good experience for me. I stayed for 28 days. I have been struggling with addiction for several years and found this place to be very helpful through their approach towards recovery. The staff members were all professional, friendly and helpful - mostly recovering alcoholics/addicts themselves - and the facility was comfortable enough. I believe the Beachcomber has a capacity of 16, with two people to a cabin. The rooms were nice and cleaned frequently. Food was served family-style and was very good as well. In terms of their approach to treating addiction, I found it all

The Beachcomber was an amazing experience; everyone there was committed to my recovery. The place his family owned and that is what it felt like. The staff? Wonderful, top-notch professionals and their caring was evident. Of course, being a three- minute walk to the beach was a tremendous lift for each of us daily and the food? Out of this world! This was my first time in treatment and I would refer anyone struggling with addiction to join in recovery at The Beachcomber.
