A dragonfly represents change, transformation, growth, adaptability, and in the end - self-realization. A dragonfly's wings are iridescent and change depending on how the light hits them. They say that there are magical properties associated with iridescence and that it is related to a person's ability to find their true self and remove self-doubt.

We can see all that is good and we can make changes when necessary. Letting people in is hard and letting people see the ugly parts is even harder.

I am the owner of Dragonfly Counseling, PLLC and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I was born and raised in the LC Valley. I attended Lewis-Clark State College for my undergraduate and Boise State University for my graduate degree in Social Work. I am currently a Doctoral Student at Simmons University.
Often people think that they have to stick with one certain therapist or one certain type of therapy, but that is just not true. Therapy is a very personal experience and it is the one time that you get to be selfish and do what works best for you. Maybe you want online therapy or EMDR - you get to choose that.
If you have insurance and wish to use it, your rate will vary depending on your insurance benefits. Prior to the first session it is recommended that you contact your insurance company to find out what your benefits are. We attempt to do this, but it is not a guarantee that it is correct. Typically we take the first session to go over any paperwork that has not been completed and get a detailed history.
Dragonfly Counseling is always looking for experienced clinicians with a clinical specialty, who are interested in pursuing a career in a group practice setting. While we prefer fully licensed clinicians with an active Washington State license, provisionally licensed therapists are welcome to apply.
