Services
Red Barn Private School is a privately owned business that has been in operation for over 14 years. The owner and director, Kimberly Cran, has help grow and build the center from a small school to less than 50 children into one of the largest child care centers in Corpus Christi. Along the way she has made many upgrades in facilities and equipment and has had a strong influence on the magnificent facility you see today.
The focus of our infant curriculum is to be age-appropriate and to stimulate learning. We recognize that rhythm and repetition is vital to children of this age to enhance their learning. Our toddler classrooms are arranged in learning centers. Each center is designed to be fun and to enhance small and large motor skills, cognitive skills, and social / emotion development.
Once your child is registered and enrolled you may drop off your child at any time, day or night, just call us before 10:00 a.m. to tell us when you will be coming in. We understand that everyone has a different needs and schedules. Let us know how we can better accommodate you. Drop-in fees include 12 hours of care for any 1-3 days of the week.
Each staff member has the opportunity for advancement. Hard work and dedication will enable you to grow with the company. We are always looking for staff and caregivers that want to make Red Barn their career!

Worst Day Care ever this place Literally Huants my childhood I don't know if its still the same but back in 2007 was just the worst experience in my life. I would do anything to get rid of this place.

My kids are now 16, 15, and 12 years old. Every now and then, they'll tell my wife and me things about their time staying at this place, when they were younger. I feel so bad for having made them stay there. I can remember them crying when we dropped them off, many times. Now that they're older, and more able to describe the treatment that the kids got, there, I know that leaving them at that place was a big mistake. It was a bad experience for my kids. Don't make the same mistake that we did.

We did like Red Barn until then unenrolled my daughter because we didn’t show up for two weeks but informed me at the start that if she wasn’t going to be there, it was easy they charged a $25 holding fee. No problem. At the very beginning they asked us to put a card on file so obviously we did that.
Well, let’s take her back to school this week and boom she’s unenrolled and they filled her spot.
She said they tried to call us on a SATURDAY but also, conveniently left no voicemail. Did I fail to mention we were out of cell service this weekend, we were on the border.
My question is what

I had my 2 kids here. They would suspend my 3 year old girl almost every week for stupid stuff. I almost got fired from my job because of the frequency of having to leave work early to get her and having to find alternative childcare for the next day. They dont try to work with the parents or kids on the behavior they would rather just suspend them

I went to this daycare when I was a child. I have memories of the caretakers treating the children poorly and extremely impatiently. My strongest memory is of a child with a fingernail that was torn almost all of the way off. The caretaker at the time was setting up a television to play a movie for the children. The child with the torn nail walked up to the lady to tell her about the situation in a panicking state. She responded with "Get away from the T.V. or I'll rip it the rest of the way off."...not very nice.

10/10 DO NOT recommend this daycare to anyone. We were new to the Corpus area last year and this daycare was close to the house and affordable, so we went with it. When I tell you it’s something EVERY week, I’m not kidding. My son has been suspended usually twice in a week. I finally had enough of it and went back to review the cameras. They don’t have the hard evidence to show me what they suspended him for. What the camera did show is my son laying on the table minding his own business, the teacher came and got him off. He pulled a few chairs out, and then got slapped in the face by another

I do not recommend this daycare. They are suppose to be trained staff to be able to care for children. Growing children and be there when the parent is at work or school and trying to make a living. Instead they call for every little misbehaving kid and suspend them and send them home for something that can be fixed if they had PROPER patience and training and learning disciplined techniques. I think they need to have more patience and understanding and learn how to be productive with our children instead of find ways to get rid of them because they are tired of handling them “THAT is THEIR job

I have taken my children to this daycare for years and they have been so great to them. There was only one time I was forced to change daycares only because red barn didnt have an opening for the age group of my infant son, but I soon regretted it. Once I changed back to red barn it was just a total relief. They have always put my mind at ease knowing my children are under their care. I love this daycare!

If you plan on taking your newborn/pre toddler here be aware. I didn't start experiencing mishaps with my child till the 12 month old room, where the teachers were unaware of why she was crying at times and didnt know of an incident that happened to her or involved her when she was picked up. Always had a draining nose that I had to ask if they could clean before handing her to me. I took her out after she was "suspended" for biting another pre toddler 2x and the newborn manager "stopped" her 3rd attempt. My daughter never bites at home or with older sibling during playtime. After seeing footage

Horrible! Everytime this school is mentioned everyone says negative things. They have the worst reputation in town. They hire anyone and everyone because they can never keep a staff. All unprofessional and rude. They will send your child home for everything. Even a small scratch that he got on the playground but don’t know how’s this or that happened . Even a mosquito bite and make you return with a doctor note. I got questioned by my doctor office on where the day care was because they were shocked and asking if I was seriously getting a scratch or mosquito bite checked out. Was there almost
