Services
The Providers at Colorado Dermatology Institute are skin cancer specialist in Colorado. Most skin cancers develop on the visible outer layer of the skin, particularly in sun-exposed areas like the head and neck, hands, arms, and legs. Of all the cancers that humans can get, skin cancer is by far the most common and it is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will get skin cancer by the age of 70[1]!
Generously apply a broad-spectrum water-resistant sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or more to all exposed skin when outdoors. The most effective sunscreens will include Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide in their ingredients. Wear protective clothing, such as a long-sleeved shirt, pants, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses where possible.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer affecting millions of people world-wide each year. Skin cancer can be deadly but when detected early, it can be treated successfully. Performing a head to toe skin self-examination is an important preventative measure used to identify skin cancer before it becomes life threatening.
When you look your body over once a month, please notice anything that is new, changing, or growing. Also, if any of your lesions fulfill ANY of the ABCDE criteria listed below, make an appointment with your dermatologist as soon as possible. Looking yourself over in the mirror once a month is the most important step to finding a bad spot before it has a chance to hurt you.
As it is so common, there are lots of different treatment approaches to acne. Most of the time people can treat acne at home without needing a medical provider's help. When acne is not easily controlled or is bad enough that it produces scars, dermatologists are here to help. Acne is a very common skin problem that almost everyone will face at one point or another.

So disappointed, I booked this appointment out months in advance due to their busy schedule and mine as well. Arrived five minutes late in our coldest weather of the year due to the construction light not working for the reroute of Research and they wouldn’t take me. I would imagine on a day like today with the roads so horrible and traffic so bad that everyone is going to be a little late. I even left early. They offered other times in the afternoon but that was why I booked out my appointment so far in advance. I’ll be doing business elsewhere as this is not good customer service at all.

Unfortunately upon scheduling, Eric was incredibly rude. His temperament was short and very welcoming. Typically don’t leave reviews unless they’re positive, but with this being such a highly regarded place, you’d think the customer service team would be more hospitable! I didn’t continue to even make an appointment.

I typically make several appointments every year. The entire staff is very professional and courteous. The appointment reminder notification system is wonderful. I am very satisfied with the treatment I receive. Lea is extremely thorough and has made recommendations regarding my skin care. I highly recommend the Colorado Dermatology Institute.

CoDerm is the absolute best! I've been going there for eight years and have never had a bad visit. The staff members are friendly and professional and always explain what's going on. PA Samantha has done most of my exams and identified what needs to be taken care of. Dr. Anderson has had to remove a couple of growths--both times one and done! Great job all!

Every staff member I have interacted with has been so kind and professional. From simple checks to surgical procedures I have always felt comfortable. My surgical results have been amazing. I have a scar on my cheek and it is barely noticeable. I have another on a tattoo and it was reconstructed beautifully.
