At Redwood Smiles Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics, we strive to make dental care accessible for all children and will do our utmost to work with our patients to create affordable payment plans.
We have several important goals during your child's first visit to our office. First, we want to introduce your child to staff and the dental setting in as non-threatening a way as possible. Several considerations must be taken before any treatment is provided, and your dentist will discuss all the risks and benefits of each treatment option.
New patients receive a comprehensive examination which includes a screening for oral cancer, gum and bone disease, blood pressure, and systemic disorders. Tooth scaling removes plaque and hard crusty calculus deposits, also known as tartar. Sometimes after a tooth scaling, the roots of a tooth must be planed in order to create a smooth surface for the gum tissue to re-attach to.
Unlike conventional braces, these clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth as usual. An average Invisalign(R) course of treatment takes about a year. Braces are bonded brackets, archwires and elastic bands that move crowded or spaced teeth into the proper position for appearance and function.

Brought my 4yo daughter today. She was so excited to see the “tooth doctor”. Staff was kind and answered whatever questions I had. Check in was quick as they already had my info from a referral.
My toddler wants to add that she loved her prizes a ring, balloon, frisbee and book. Thank you staff! We’ll be back next year!

I like the friendly staff. although they were busy today we didn’t have that long of a wait in the waiting room. Actually we arrived late to our appointment. So I appreciate they didn’t make us wait long. Suffice to say I would definitely recommend Rockville Smiles for anyone who is considering a new dentist for their child.

The drilling noises, the numbing shots, and the water suction all horrified My daughter and she was so scared to go to the dentist prior to coming here. But these things are all necessary so I was in a conundrum. We were referred to Rockville Smiles and both of us could not be more GRATEFUL for the professionalism and efficiency and TLC from the staff! They are all so kind and truly helped my daughter establishing her trust so all of the above were possible.

I just got two of my wisdom teeth pulled out. The procedure was fast and the oral surgeon was very nice, friendly, patient and made me feel safe despite me being all jumpy and anxious about the procedure. The staff as well was friendly and knowledgeable. Its only been two days since i had my procedure done and i feel great. I really recommend the oral surgeon they have only once a month. Don’t remember his name but him and his team did an amazing job. During the procedure the surgeon was informative about what he was doing and made me feel comfortable…Will be coming back. I recommend this place

All 3 of my kids come here and they treat us all with respect. My oldest is getting braces for the second phase and they are so helpful.. We seem to always get the sane Dental assistant and he is so BOMB.. Noland we couldn't do this without you! They're so kind and gentle and amazing with prices. Thank you team!
