Services range from non-medical personal assistance, to skilled nursing, and to compassionate hospice and palliative care.
Together, these three programs - Homeland Hospice, Homeland HomeHealth and Homeland HomeCare - provide a complete continuum of at home care for any changing circumstances of patients and families. Our expert team is dedicated to providing compassionate hospice care so patients and families can make the most of every precious moment together.

Services
Today, in an era when for-profit senior care chains dominate the market, Homeland-a Harrisburg-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization-remains steadfast with a keen focus on our local communities while delivering more personal, benevolent and compassionate care throughout the region. Our proud tradition of exceptional medical care began 150 years ago, when Homeland Center (our "bricks and mortar" facility) opened its doors.
Homeland is the Capital Region's leading provider of comprehensive medical services care to our seniors. Benevolence, medical expertise, personalized treatment and attention to detail are all Homeland hallmarks. Homeland Center, our personal care and skilled nursing facility, includes a special unit where individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia-related diseases receive individualized care.
In keeping with the tradition of Homeland Center's mission of meeting community needs, Homeland's services expanded into the community by establishing Homeland Hospice, HomeCare and HomeHealth, assuring a continuum of care if and when needed.
The entire staff of Homeland Hospice is committed to a model of care focused on providing comfort, relieving pain and offering support-including spiritual and bereavement counseling-for persons with life-limiting health conditions and their families.Hospice is not a "place." Care is provided in whatever setting a person calls home.

In addition to regular visits from your hospice team, families can reach us at any time with questions and concerns. A nurse case manager is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff is closely involved as death approaches and may be present at the time of death. This is one of hospice's greatest strengths-helping the patient and loved ones cope as a person approaches life's end.
Being a caregiver for a loved one as they are nearing the end of their life can be both meaningful and yet challenging at times. At Homeland Hospice, we understand what you are experiencing, and we are at your side - you are not alone. The role you are providing and embracing can bring on responsibilities and demands you may have never dealt with before.

I was there and saw most of the happenings . Then was illegally PFA,d and wasn't told when it was dropped. And they took my friends phone so I couldn't even say goodbye. But I did anyway. Then they took all her belongings and mine and took my kitties and are now still harassing me and calling to tell me they have my kitties and will never get them back. We both lived for those kitties and each other. So now I have nothing to live for therefore I have nothing else to loose. I love you Lorie and I promise you I will at least save our babies.. I have mental issues and Lorie was my caretaker

I would like to express my thanks to your staff for the care and comfort they gave my mother Kathryn I Wert during her stay at Claremont Nursing Home. A special thanks to Alyssa who kept me informed of moms health and wellbeing when she visited during these trying times. Just a thank you for all you do

I work for a few different local nursing homes and it is always a pleasure when Homeland Hospice is at the facilities, whether it is to stop by to say hi, do an activity with our residents, or come in to care for our residents. It is an absolute joy to work with Bethany Traxler, whenever it is needed.

My wife has worked for homeland for a while now and I am so impressed at how they take care of people in their final stage of life and the quality of care that's given to them and their families.
I am also blown away by how well they take care of all the amazing people that work for them. Paula and I have the highest praise for homeland hospice.
Maybe one day I'll stop selling cars and go make a difference working for homeland.
